Hap Seng shares trading at cheap valuation

Petaling Jaya: Shares in Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Bhd (HSPlant) are currently trading at cheap valuations despite crude palm oil (CPO) prices hovering above RM3,000 per tonne.
Based on bloomberg's earnings per sahre(EPS) estimaate of 27.7sen for the period ending Jan 31, 2009, and yesterday,s closing price of RM2.93, the stock is trading at a price -to-earning(PE) of 10.6.
Still cannot cut and paste. Has to type the above from source; the star online. If Hap Seng is cheap, then Golden Agri is even cheaper!!! Any comments.

Does it matter if short on xd day but but back same day?
investor 38, I see, if you need to cut from somewhere else, then the simple way should work, Be sure that is a TEXT file that you are copying.
what you do is just copy from the text file from somewhere else, then come back to this post , which means the cursor is now inside this post.
then, just do a Right Click on mouse , followed by Paste, that would do.

Francis..be careful. If you shrt on XD date, u will need to pay the dividend amount (before tax) to the broker hse. Total P/L will need to cater for such payment.

Nick correct, intraday level and duration monitoring are the yarksticks to determine potential shorting counters.
Fundamentally, a shorting counter traded vul must be high, say 1000lots and above. 10000 and above laigi best, means a lot of supporters and players mah, so play with each other loh. Use spreedsheet to track all your portfolio on each trading day, including those you eyeball for shorting. The data likely will assist you further. Other requirements are you must be online and do not refer to teletext as the data is 15 mins slower after last update at each qtr of an hr. However, you may call your broker if you are out from your table. My apology, for those broker's forumers, asking people to snatch away your rice bowl. Joke a side lah, not many people can be with the table all day long ah, they working mah. Snr citizen like me, be benevolence a bit loh, give them chance lah.
The other revenue for shorting is XD, esp for those coy given away hefty div. Q 10 bits lower or less, a day before XD, after 2000hrs, as FIFO applies when market opens. Pse note that for share higer than $10, per bit is 2 cents whereas those below $10, 1 c is enough. If you got luck, you may get some kopi money early the morning on XD. Remember early birds catch the worms.  |

Bottom of symmetrical pattern brokened,
use a fibbo on the recent trend of this counter and there is a fibbo support @ 0.905.

oh ... intra day . differences . however. do you make used of any chart. to assit in your feel.. can elborate a bit . .. ? thanks
err...select? basically gut feel...juz look at the intra day high n low for a certain period loh...if the gap is huge consistently for sometime like 2-3wks...eg like SGX and VENTURE and CITYDEV...these counters are gd candidate for SHORTING from my personal view...hee...anyway...juz another series of my crap theory....hee....

wow..after my crap theory on 90.5cts is out..the price seems to dive siah ! :P
