Chart looks toppish? Just zoom out a little bit. Price heading back to pre-BPL level.
you just need to buy the counter in separate batches in separate time....however, you must start to buy now (bit by bit) as inertial will cost you the opportunity to get good stock...it is one of the few good counters to average with limited risk (if it dips, just need to buy some more)...good luck :)
We can't time the market, this one now is on uptrend!

Hi Victorf, i'm keen on buying starhub. The charts for this counter look toppish to me. But what do you think? Can i humbly ask if 2.12 to 2.14 a good entry point? I'm not a trader - just want to grow my money through investing wisely.

Actually, everything will become very clear when Starhub truly stops the BPL broadcasts next year,.... why ? Because I think many consumers are still not aware that Starhub has lost this rights, and they are still going day-by-day, sticking with Starhub, thinking that nothing has changed,....

sold all my holdings at diff intervals today at $2.05. seems like buying is from mix of foreign n local accounts / banks.
looking at the close today, it seems to have broken the 200ma. may see a leg up tomolo. at the moment cash out first for me, waiting for a better chance to enter hopefully at ard $1.8 range.

Looking at the figures, it seems like starhub will most likely be in the red in the next quarter announcements.
im still holding them at the moment but thought of cashing out first as already break even n collected the divdends.
any kind advise on this? how good is the prospects for the company?

think i was looking at the cash n liabilities. about the same price if im not wrong. actually i am not a accounts person so dun really know how to calculate or read the balance sheets.
Mainly is still based on my prediction about starhub for the next quarter.

same call to buy as in October for StarHub .....no hindsight....but at that time it is only at $1.80 plus....now $2.00 plus (and plus 5 cents dividend in pocket)....still a laggard to buy on dip as it is "one of the best stock to do averaging when it is in downtrend"... good luck :)

starhub is one of the best stocks to buy from the recent sell down....gives very good dividend which is substainable or more or less over many years....though the loss of EPL right may affect the revenue, the involvement in the next generation broadband network initiative by the government is a cash cow for many years beside the mobile phone license...at $1.80 plus and dividend $0.18 per year, you can easily achieve what warren buffet can achieve for the next 5 years (average 10% growth)...good luck
