i m still waiting for < 90.5cts for my GRAND entry.....hee :P
cheers !
Once a while, playing contra is thrill but in the long run, you may turn out to be great loser and the gainer is always the broking firms. Per transaction, Buy and Sell(stock less than 10k), you need min 6 cents to break even(online trading) or 10cents via phone call. Mar-Apr and Sep-Oct are the hotest period for contra trading when corporate results will be tabled.
Buy up is when transaction price is at seller's price.
Sell down is when transaction price is at buyer's price.
Hi, I'm a beginner in trading. May I know what is the difference between "buy up" and "sell down" ?
In normal circumstances, isn't it that for anybody to buy, somebody else must sell ?
Then, why differentiate betwen "buy up" and "sell down" ?
Thank you very much...

The mind believes what it chooses to believe. So when the stock does not go up according to one's hopes, the mind wants to believe that BBs are deliberately pressing the stock down. But why would any BB wanna do that? In the second place, can any BB press the price down when there are 9 billion shares?
I believe that this is a very good counter. But sometimes, for those who keep saying that BBs are pressing the price down, is it better to tell the mind to face reality?
One after thought is that this is a counter heavily played by shortist. So beware.

I bought at 0.96 and sold at 0.94.
Sigh, bought at 0.955 and it has been dropping ever since. Looks like have to cut loss on Monday, which is T+3 for me. Tricked by the massive buy-ups at 0.96, 0.965 and 0.97, thought it was going to breakout towards 1.00, but apparently not so. :-(
These BBs you are referring to are probably day traders/punters. They are like lalangs that sway with the wind. They hope to profit from small margins which can be quite siginificant with big volumes. The real BBs are the fund managers who are the one who will decide on the direction of the stock eventually. Just my opinion.
it is no brainer to see the BBs fighting around $0.93 (shortist and longists) before the weekend as expected...no big move expected before the weekend...good luck
bb... ,,, What is your view .. for this counter.... ??? laugh... nevermind...
dunno leh... why not ask the "BBs" ?

what's your view on this counter. .? will it go up or down... for the coming week ahead. and even the closing for todays.. .. just a survey..
are you using the 'live feed'. If you are right click on the stock and you will see it. Obviously, you must have an account with Phillips
