There's no really no such thing as 'short the market down'.
Institutions who sell must have had some insight into the market
direction, hence they sell their holdings to avoid risk...

Smart money won't just simply short for shorting's sake...
There's no really no such thing as 'short the market down'.
Institutions who sell must have had some insight into the market
