concur with singaporegal. it's just made a major movement downwards compared with last week. not to mention the drastic A/D and chaikin drop; it's comparative with sept's movement.

my only qn is: manipulation to go up, or keep on down? so pls, if you're vested, post up the day's trading vols.

and in case anyone is wondering, no, i'm not vested.

Hi all,

From TA charts, the price has crossed the lower bollinger band. This isn't a good sign. It means that there may be large price movements downwards.

ipunter...said already that i'm a conservative investor. and precisely 'cos i've seen it from both sides, the one thing i'll never do is underestimate the market. even big boys can get caught. why do you think i'm asking for SPC's data all the way, even now, rather than rush to conclusions?

like i said, it's arrogance, greed, terror and hope that control the market. my aim is to eliminate all emotions when dealing with the market; only then can you see it clearly--and even then, always, beware.

not a stingray. those are too tame and only attack when provoked. more like a wolf you presume is a tame pet, but which has never lost its wildness.

and also, sitting next to one or two fund managers doesn't necessarily make one a sure winner. All are human, so are not infallible.

Elfinchilde...

The market beast is so unpredictable...

If you think your Aikido or whatever smart thing can beat the market and think you are safe, the market will surely one day poke you like a gentle stingray did.

btw, could i pls trouble billec or anyone else with a poems acct--to put up the day's trading vol for SPC for the next couple of days? crucial: mon-wed. i need it to see where the counter's headed.

'cos from manipulation there is one of two options:

1) SPC is going to declare a sufficiently high dividend, and prospects look good. in which case, expect price up and trend reversal up.

2) SPC high dividend, but prospects not so good. in which case, it's going to be a quick flash up and down once XD.

btw, i was actually expecting a 10c drop today based on chart data; but it seems to be falling more swiftly than i thought.

ah. forum flood. em. i seem to sense an increasing tone of panic here. People, please relax. if you panic, you're doing exactly what the big boys want you to do. remember what i said abt terror and hope controlling the market?

giantlow. pls do keep calm, or you aren't gonna be able to see head from toe. and don't bother too much abt buy up sell down. the impt thing is the 'buy' and 'sell'.

ipunter, you're right. i'm a realist when it comes to the market. it's all just a game to me. And haha, i believe in the philosophy of aikido. i.e., 'one strike, one kill.' In that sense i'm conservative, because i won't strike until i know there's a good chance of a kill.

billec, like singaporegal, i won't advise you what to do either, since investors must always make up their own minds. your position will depend entirely on your trading temperament.

in response to your qn, institutions will do all the buying at stage 2, when retailers massively panic. We're prob somewhere between 1 and 2 now.

giantlow,

when 'bid' and 'offer' are the same, the deal is done.

Yes, it is not uncommon for 'bod' and 'offer' difference to be more than 1 tick.

Its selling into 'uncharted territory - 2005 to 2006' now.  We will have to wait for a consolidation and then hopefully a trend reversal.  Based on a monthy chart, the support seems to be at $4.00 during the 2004 time period. Time to be discipline with TA as I do intend to average my 4.40 lots. The ADX indicates a rising trend (downtrend) for now.  Tis my personal view.

apologies for typo:

'Buy Up' is when buyer takes it at seller's price.

'Sell Dn' is when seller sells to buyer at buyer's price.

thanks for the info shplayer...

sometime the bid and offer is the same or might be more than 1 tick difference rite?

so that explains why there can be buy up and sell down at the same price or have sudden price increase or decrease.

am i right to say that?

giantlow,

'Buy Up' is when buyer takes it at se;;er's price.

"Sell Dn' is when sell sells to buyer at buyers price.

If you look at 'Bid' (Buyer) and 'Offer' (Seller) queue, 'Bid' is always one tick below 'Offer'.

When seller 'gives in'.....its a 'Sell Dn'.

Conversely. when buyer 'gives in', its a 'Buy Up'.

Hope this explains it.
