U are rite,i do not serve mammon.i am happy go lucky.

But i also do not believe in giving to australians charities cos 50 to 60 percent of money collected for charities goes to admin expenses.Only very little actually ends up in the pocket of ur intented choice.

Well either lion or kitten is just a form of representation.
No need ego booster. If  Elf think I?m cutie to be called
as kitten so be it.

I?m easy going bloke, make love no war.
Elf, hope this smiley face is good enough ^^Every one have a great trading week ahead!

Peace!

chinkiasu, you are absolutely right. If one has the money and is in control of her/his life, there is a choice - to use any excess to help others who may be in need.

night watch...begins..

yes Geojam, sir... I am christian.. but I sense you dont really serve Mammon... you there is nothing wrong in earning money, or knowing the value of money... you used money... and you are in control.. therefore you do not serve Mammon.... it is when you are fully subject your life to money and let the pursuit of it become the top priority to the detriment of. say your family life, or personal life that you have allow it to be your master...

Baseerahmed,  This particular thread is for entertainment. Do enjoy the "friendly banterings, the good humoured teasings". I always turn to this thread to find out how pple take life.

And to add to the problem, a lot of people also treat the stock market as a kind and benevolent 'pet' who 'licks you all over'..

This is also why many people are hurt by big losses.

BaseerAhmed... :)

hahaha...

I won't regard the stock market as a 'mean' beast.

It is not mean at all.  It is also not 'merciless'.

In most cases, if we are hurt by big losses, we tend to blame the beast. But in actuality, the beast may nor even be aware that it has 'hurt' us.
Really, it is we hurting ourselves.

So from this perspective, is it fair for anyone to say it is mean or merciless?

Actually , I was just refering to some of the friendly banterings, the good humoured teasings in here : )

Off course, it is a given that the stock market does not take any prisoners .. a zero sum game entity . .. merciless ruthless mean machine...reminds me of the opening scene of " saving private ryan " .. we are just jumping out with a rifle in hand with some basic training....not knowing the outcome....just basic faith that we will get across..

The stock market is no respecter of persons...

No matter how educated, experienced or lucky (inexperienced) one is, the stock market  seems to treats them equally... :)

...just a general statement .....off the cuff...not directed at anyone... (after attending simon loh's session and seeing people in real flesh) .....some postings not true reflection of the forummers real multi- dimensional personality and experience and dept of knowledge .....while some forummers are true to themselves and say what they mean others just take on some persona for fun , for teasers .... has to be taken with a heavy dose of humour ... and laugh it off  , ... everyone in here are highly educated and must have come a long way in life .. to arrive at this stage...

yep singaporegal, thanks. yea, i know TA (esp the leads) may not be too accurate; that's why i was reading it by lag indicators, and also unsure. most leads are a bit shaky in this current market actually.....

where's that kitten, yongjiu? hehe. man, must give him points for being able to bring a smile to elf. keke.

singaporegal, let's meet up when my bunnie's back! :))))))

Hi elfie,

Yep.... agree with you on your reading of UOB-Kayhian. However, one issue with this counter are its poor volumes so the TA readings may not be too accurate.

But to me, it is rather obvious that serving the two simultaneously is rather commonplace...

eg. people harvesting the affluence while at the same time spewing the 'spiritual'...

Don't you think it is rather 'self-serving' in all this?
