OPEC decided to cut its oil output by 1.5 million barrels per day from November 1 at an emergency meeting here on Friday, Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Nuaimi told reporters, as the cartel seeks to support plunging crude prices despite a looming worldwide recession.

This is the reason that bear markets exist...

Those who have bought 'cheap-cheap' will be unable to tahan as it falls some more..

And when those who bought 'cheap-cheap' are frustrated, they will wait for a good rally to sell...

Meanwhile, the big boys are not in a hurry to sell - they will wait for rallies, then sell at better prices. Smiley

We shall see a period of prosperity but with high oil price. The period of low oil price is over. It is a reality we all have to face

Now the whole world is focussed on the credit crisis. If there is no real alternative fuel, a oil crisis in the future is not unreal at all. Once the global economy recovers, oil price will resume back its uptrend.

It is said that the gobal economy will only work if oil is 60 or less.

So that news from Bloomberg is true afterall.

With $60 oil, is SPC still viable to refine oil ?? Afterall, it is a small player.........

In practice, even if SPC goes to 2.00 (it can happen), it is still a risky buy...

because what if it continues to fall after buying?

It's no joke ,because at the lower prices, percentage drops becomes proportionately bigger and bigger... Smiley

So what is the point if buying a stock that gives good dividends previously if still falls? Wait for 2 weeks before XD to play dividend.

Not sure the group of greedy OPEC people would do nothing on the down fall of their golden trees.

of course best they could stick to King Arub suggestion that CO price would be reasonable if tag at 60 USD. If that so, then it will ease the global recession tension.

PERTH (Reuters) - Oil fell by more than $3 to near its lowest in 16 months on Wednesday, dropping back below $70 on mounting worries that output cuts by OPEC will not be enough to offset slackening energy demand in leading consumers.
