Emm, how u explain why investor still want to up his percentage level to 5%. Something must be up, n that trigger it.

No investor will want to vest in a ship with sinking share price. Maybe let wait n see if there is any GOOD news coming

out soon. Cheers. Smiley

Its first Quarter report mentioned that this year Profit before Tax will be comparable with year of 2008.

Last year EPS only about 16Cents.

Not hard to imigaine that current trading price is not cheap at about PE ratio of 15.

That should be good as investor is pumping in money to up their share percentage in ST. Try thinking, where got investor want to pump money into a company that has bad share value.Smiley

Obviously they see the prospect in ST, thus want to up their share percentage.

Anyone here feel free to correct me if u think likewise.

can someone enlighten me when do you mean by open market purchase by ' New Substantial Shareholder'" namely abedeem.

It that mean that they will purchase the share from the market until they achieve 5+%. if that is the case , they will definitely press down the price. I can feel that someone is trying to push down the price today, especially at the last few minutes ( from 2.36 to 2.33) .

What is this statment mean, Amount of consideration (excluding brokerage and stamp duties) per share paid or received is $2.3852 ?

Should i leave first till the purchase complete in the open market before the price going too low.

It may sound like a stupid question but frankly speaking i really dont understand the exercise at all.

Thanks

despite the strong surge of STI, ST eng is really not performing. Its EPS was much much lower for the current financial result, comparing to past year's. ST eng should come out to clarify, so as to clear doubts.

Abedeen is selling its stake, as of yesterday's announcement? is that so? the new sgx website, i dont really know how to manouver. not used to it leh.

No volume yet. Also somewhere in May, big vol but down ==> liquidation despite the bull run.
Looks like can wait a while.  Can wait for it to jump up 10-15% first before going in. My opinion only.

Singapore Technologies Engineering (STEG.SI) expects to raise its orderbook in 2009 as it is bidding for government projects in China, Europe and the Middle East, a senior executive told Thomson Reuters in an interview today.

The engineering comglomerate, 49% owned by state investor Temasek Holdings (TEM.UL), also said its 2009 financial performance is expected to be within 5% of last year’s results. “All those infrastructure projects that the governments are putting their money into, we are ready to take more of these projects,” said Seah Moon Ming, deputy chief executive officer of ST Engineering.

As of March 2009, the company had an order book of $11.03 billion, up from $10.6 billion at the end of 2008, though Seah did not specify the expected increase for 2009.
