That's true! I can't deny that. Starhub's volumes are quite low though so it may not be sustainable. But Genting and AsiaPharm's volumes are very good.

Wing Tai has been see-sawing between 2.26 and 2.30 for the past few days with so-so volumes. I'm not sure what's happening but will wait and see.

Is that so?  ...

But then why are other counters so strong and "cheonging"?... like Starhub, Genting, Asiapharm to name a few...

Signals are now changing to uncertain. It could be because of the upcoming super long weekend and people want to take profit early. Will wait and see till next week.

I am vested at 2.22.

No sifu here, coz my sifu "nextdoor" is not around.

This stock (Wing Tai) is suspect, coz although it should move in tandem with the rest of the pack in this group/sector, there must be some unknown reason for it's peculiar behaviour.

Another point to note is that cheaper stocks generally have higher risk while more expensive stocks are easier to predict using TA.

It depends on how much funds you have for trading.

heya, yep punter, noticed vol was low so didn't really trust a pure TA call on it. have done my tarot like a good little girl *haha*; all positions vested for the new year already, am closing my books as will be away til 31st.

ok all, be good, keep your money safe and happy new year in advance! :)

Wing Tai bottomed out in 1st Q of 2003. The next real bottom should around five yrs after this. The next bottom will be in early 2008 which is line with economic prediction. The uptrend normally is slow while the downtrend is fast. So the peak should be around end Dec 2006 to 1stQ 2007.

Elfin...

At 1.04, it is right on the channel top, but at 1.05, it appears to have penetrated the channel top a bit. But since that penetration is with lowly volume, it may not be very reliable as a true breakout. But nowadays, it seems stocks can also rise on low volume and then pushed up even further by the big volumes. Better do a Tarot spread on this one... :)
