Can anybody help me interpret the meaning of this and what it may result...seems to be that after the trading halt lifted tomorrow...it may well plunge...Last high price of $0.60
PROPOSED ISSUE OF 28,000,000 NEW ORDINARY SHARES IN THE CAPITAL OF ASIA ENVIRONMENT HOLDINGS LTD (THE ?COMPANY?) UNDER A PLACEMENT AGREEMENT WITH SBI E2-CAPITAL ASIA SECURITIES PTE LTD (THE ?PLACEMENT?).

The placement price of S$0.50814 for each New Share represents a discount of 10.0% to the weighted average price of S$0.5646 of the Company?s ordinary shares traded on the SGX-ST on the full day of 9 April 2007.

I bought Asia Env at a price of $0.455 a month ago.

i think this stock is currently riding high on popiah king fame...

not surprise if can soar higher.

seems like nobody really interested in this stock? Further insights when it delivers the FY results... :)

have been vested since the Nov announcement with Nanjing City. Felt this is one huge project not to be taken lightly.

singaporegal, have you researched on this stock b4?

I personally feel great potential in this stock, but is rather perplexed on the slow movement of its price compared to sino-env, epure, etc. It did not lack order book compared to them. Maybe it need to prove itself on the execution on next few quarters since it once disappointed investors

It has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Nanjing City, Jiangning Zone Government to satisfy the increasing needs for water supply and wastewater treatment in the Jiangning Zone.



In the Agreement, Asia Environment and the Jiangning Government will collaborate on the possibility of working together in developing the projects in the Jiangning Zone that have an estimated aggregate investment value of RMB2.5 billion (about S$496 million).



For each project, the terms of investment will be negotiated separately and formal documentations and agreements will be signed upon the finalization of the terms. The Company has established a special purpose company, Nanjing Penyao Water Pte. Ltd., to undertake the above-mentioned projects. Nanjing Penyao, a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of the company that is incorporated in the PRC, will have a registered capital of US$29.8 million (S$46.5 million).

It was higher after it said it had won a build-own-operate (BOO) contract worth RMB190m in the Chinese city of Harbin, its first such contract, dealers said.



Asia Environment CEO Wang Hongchun said his company expected to secure more substantial and lucrative BOO, build-operate-transfer and transfer-operate-transfer water treatment contracts in the coming quarters.
