Can see that Taiwan market is a real "pit" where investors/traders really put the hypothetical values of shares in their perspective.  In other words, these traders/investors are willing to put their money where their expectations of a company are.  Not the typical Singapore type.  Taiwanese are not the kiasu, not the kiasi types. And they really defend the prices according to their thinking making the stock market lively.  Singapore is far behind in this agressiveness and "foresighting" as seen from our stock market.  Maybe sg people are too trained to be non adventurous, just make yourself comfy type.  Adventure- no lah. Innovation - no lah, go for the challenge, no lah, I rather sleep lah, kind of thinking?  Any comments?

Taiwan authority still has not approved yet. Will probably take a couple of weeks more. Bookbuilding can only start after that.

TDR 2nd programme was delayed and should be out soon.  There were 150 million shares for conversion to TDRs, and those who applied for coversion only got 12.71 percent allocation.  No further news except for UOBK saying it was slighly delayed and I have not received my money yet.  Anyone knows any info on this?

twn market close 12.35 about SGD 0.53

maybe boss can consider borrow script TDR sell in twn market and buy in sg market.

@ 0.31. diff 0.53-0.31 = 0.22 no price risk.

then apply another conversion of sg stock to tdr. after approved return the tdr.

ya on paper look quite good. execution no know can or not.

BNP Paribas starts Oceanus with Hold with $0.28 target price based on 1.5X P/B. Cites China-based abalone farmer's negative free cashflow, depleting cash balance as major concerns; free cash flow to be positive only in 2013. Limitation of caging capacity will lead to potential growth bottleneck while investment cost per tank has more than doubled. Tips ROE to decline from 22.3% in 2010 to 18.6% in 2012. Owing to Oceanus' business model, very difficult, if not unlikely, to obtain commercial loans for working capital needs. As such, the company will probably have to continue selling young abalones in the market to generate cash to fund the daily operations, which will likely restrict the profitability potential of the company

This babe must buy now.  Also good for those who have applied TDRs. Think can make a few bowls of kway Teow if you buy back the mother as the son is considered gone for adoption by Taiwanese or being sold to them. Hahaha.

Stock Call s

Oceanus Group

33 cents | Buy

DMG cuts target price to 43 cents based on 12.8X FY ’11 P/E, after lowering FY ’11 earnings forecast 30 per cent to assume lower selling prices. Notes China-based abalone farmer’s Q1 average selling price down 33 per cent on-quarter; also, supply of caged abalone lower due to higher-than-expected mortality rate.

Luckily i already let go at 0.39. This kind of speculative stocks (most s chips rise and fall together with market) needs to go fast in and fast out. Overall, fundamentals not too bad. Good luck to anyone still holding.

If it reaches 19 cents , then wait for the  key reversal . That would be the entry point .

Oceanus fell n penetrated its neckline of the H&S pattern today , a dead cross had just formed above its share price recently . It would technically go down to 19 cents by measuring the distance from its head to the neckline .

Who is selling this counter to taiwan? I think its worth at least 0.50 there still. More than 20% profit at current price.
