Maybe their major shareholder is in Taiwan- Min Aik.
But they can consider to dual list in HONGKONG instead of Taiwan.
Not sure if the requirement about earning is Annual or quarterly also can be considered.
If its yearly, have to wait till after year ended and if its in the black, with good annual profits, will have no problem to be dual listed any where.
IPO price was very high- about 47 cents is it ?
Not sure. If it could slowly climb back to that high and more - huat ar .:)
In the longer term of course, like 3-5 years down the road. when all goes well.
Cheers.

Map Technology Holdings, the component manufacturer for the hard disc drive and biomedical industries, is pleased to announce its return to profitability with a net profit of US$3 million ($4.1 million) for the first quarter ended 31 March 2010 (1Q2010), thanks to the ongoing recovery of the global HDD market. Revenue for the quarter grew 33% from US$31.7 million to US$42.2 million in 1Q2010, as the group saw sales improve across all its business divisions, except for the die-cut components division which fell US$0.15 million to US$1.1 million. Although the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) division remains the largest revenue contributor for the group at 57% of total revenue, the group’s precision stamping division doubled its sale to US$12.1 million in 1Q from US$5.4 million in 1Q. Due to a more favourable sales mix of higher margin precision stamping components and lower production cost per unit from greater economies of scale, the group’s gross profit margins improved from 9.3% in 1Q to 11.9% in 1Q. Following the raising of $14.6 million from a rights issue last year, the group says it will be able to seize opportunities for mergers and acquisition. MAP also boosted its net cash position from US$17.4 million as at 31 December 2009 to US$19.7 million as at 31 March 2010, mainly due to cashflow generated from operations. The group’s gross gearing improved from 27.4% to 18.1% in 1Q2010. Market research firm Trendfocus forecasts that HDD shipments are set to reach a new high of 665 million units in 2010. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the group is cautiously optimistic that its results will continue to be favourable. |

Close at 0.06 with 1 lot transaction ....
BBs keep up the good work...
Like Z-Obbee and afew others, they move from less then 20 cents to more then 50 cents just within 2 months of proposed to listied and still moving upwards, The results are obvious between the 2 market. And HK market listed stocks can be transfered..
They become star stocks, where eles like Oceanus, before listed in Taiwan when just announced go up to 47 cents, but fall instead of up after listed successfully and it doesn't correspond with Taiwan traded price which is more then 65 cents now ? Here still struggle at 37 - 37.5 as of now with good result reported......... but NO dividends paid out. but keep touting about improving shareholders value. The the director proposed big fees. If shareholder got no devidents, the directors should also not get one cent to be faie :)
Thanks. Looks like its quite positive again just before the quarterly result announcement.
Or could be some other news. Perhaps a listing in Hong Kong instead of Taiwan.
All those dual listed in HK market seems to fly more then double within a short time. But those that d/list in Taiwan hardly have the same response here. So its obvious, for better value of share, Honmg Kong market is the better choice.
Oceanus and that medtec made bad decision. It reflects that their management is good in something and really screwed up in other department of decision. Good management doesn't make good decision all the time, they are human and they made blunders. Perhaps they thought, so many already want to list in Hongkong, their do it different from the rest and it proves to be that BLUNDER. As shown from the result of appreciation. But those alrady dual listed in other market if not moving can only hope for the best it has seen some of the worst reversal since. Abalone from 47 cents before to 32.5 after and recently go up a bit due to good market sentiments.
Worst can be is that burger touted good profit, but stingy even to give 0.005 cents in devidents
With No devidents, what benefit does shareholder have talk about shareholder value- talking cock n bull story.

Hold on and be rewarded. :)
