Badly bashed.
watching this show hapilly...yester many tried to SHORT this burger w/o success..it rebounced abit..today my comarades trying their LUCK again ! wonder who will prevail ? hee.......saga cont'd :D

Ha ha, with current gloomy market, dun buy Rolex, buy simple watch will do. Unless, u can take d depreciation loh.

Never forget this is a high value stock only for high networthers to keep. I have noticed that on almost everyday it is traded on top of the "high value" list.
Dont know whether DBS can withstand the selling pressure from the market...if no...newbies may loose the confidence and start dumping...shorts will follow suit...more shorts will follow suit...much more shorts will follow suit...till short-circuit.
any1 shorted this burger at $10+ ?? wow...looks like a meaty target for me siah :P
Which counter did you sell yesterday and at what price ?
DBS share (Trading around S$9 plus )? "Nil-paid" rights shares "DBS R" or "DBS R500" (trading around S$3.80-4.08) ?
If you have 1000 DBS share as at ex-date 29 Dec, you will be credited with 500 "nil-paid" rights shares on 5 Jan 2009? The "nil-paid" rights shares start trading on 6 Jan as "DBS R" "and "DBS R500" in trading board lot of 1000 and 500 shares.

Oh dear, I think I have make a mistake yesterday! I sold my right as DBS mother's share, so I think I am in a short position :( So I believe I have to pay penality of $1,000 right? I didn't know DBS got another share code for right issue! Very misleading !

The penalty is $1000 + 6 bids higher on the highest price traded during T+5.
else will have to pay higher if DBS goes higher.

$15 hah? Might be earlier than march says me who is quite bullish in terms of the stocks...laughs..
Despite my entry at around 10 bucks, I have managed to make profits with the rights entitlement. Sold some rights but will subscribe to some shares last day via EPS before subscription closes on 20/1/2009, 9.30 p.m.. For those thinking of extra subscription, it will be quite impossible. If you want DBS shares, better take action now. |

You sold your rights (DBSR) as mother DBS? Do you mean you wanted to sell DBSR but instead you sold DBS which you don't have anymore? If that is the case you are short. Quickly explain to your broker to waive the penalty. You have to do it this morning before 9.00 a.m.
Value of rights plus 5.42 is equal to value of mother shares. Might as well buy mother shares.

| DBSR is 1 lot which is 1000 shares. DBS500 is half a lot which allows the investor to buy 500 shares. just like SIA and SIA200. For every 2000 DBS an investor holds, he is given 1000 shares of DBSR. The investor can choose to sell the DBSR at this moment or wait for the letter to convert the DBSR to DBS at the price of $5.42. Last day for conversion is on
20th January 2009. Hope this information is useful to you. |
