Massive bailouts aside, the final effects of the underlying problems arising out of the sub-prime sagahas probably yet to seep through to the ground ...

Unlike the past, this is not a short-term episode of panic-selling out of fear alone...
It is something more severe than anything ever seen... Smiley

I believe it will. 1500 is not far now.. The bailout effect will not take place so fast. As you can see, even multiple central coordinate interest rate cut couldnt bring back confidence. The few days delay of the bailout package destroy investor's confidence.

Recovered slightly now. So scary! Bail out voted out by a margin of 228-205 votes.
Can President  Bush veto? He should, if not, the world is going to see a catastrophe.

That's on top of the ban short-selling which are currently in force. One cannot imagine what will happen without the ban?

Do not be mistaken, personally also stucked with lots of counters which were bought at STI 3000, not any better than you folks. paper loss about $150K. But holding on for long term investment or recoverance.

Chill guys.

Let's not be overly bearish. STI at 2000 means a 25% drop from the current level.

That would be disastrous.

prophecies tend to be self fulfilling. markets move on perception, the perception of the masses.

simply be careful not to get caught out by a sudden ramp if you're happily shorting the market now.

It will take another 1 to 2 years to reach STI 2000 if it continue just like this current situation prevail. So B4 that happen, it is up to world BBs economy to do rejustment and their / our expection.
