China is the country (with clout) to watch in the decades ahead!...
If China chose to hold Olympic on 080808, it should not be that bad.
So the best time on 080808 should be 08:08:08?

wah, sporeguy. hats off to you man. (-_-")....very mathematically inclined, i see. hehe.
In the Chinese Almanac, for this 7th Lunar Month, the auspicious days for wedding are : 1,2,3,5,8,9,10,11,13,14,15,16,18,20,21,22,23,25,26,27,28 making a total of 21 days out of the 30 days in the 7th Lunar month. It so happen the day is the same as the month of August. Note that the 1st 5 days is a Fibonacci series. Also note that all the Fibonacci days (1,2,3,5,8,13,21) are all auspicious for wedding in this month.

It is a big irony that chinese in China couldn't care a damn about ghosts..
As evidenced by their overwhelming desire to get married on 8.8.08 during the ghost festival.
Unlike the 'chinese' in our own little world here, who avoid it at any cost!...
Maybe we can make offering and things will be calm? Haha

For Stocks, August Likely To Be Anything But Calm
A typical August involves low volume and lackluster moves for the stock market, but with the amount of variables on Wall Street now, high volatility should make this month anything but typical.

haha how has the market performed historically during the hungry ghost period? I think they know about the sub prime crisis also, and will probably stay out
