If the market pattern continues, (ie strong first then slump),

this counter  (and also Capland) is likely to slump in similar fashion... Smiley

Today I shorted Citydev and go against me and close higher...... But I have no fear at all, because I know it will be giving back the gain.... A fake pump to make STI not too horrible..... lol

Yup. below 9.00 in sight.

Looks highly likely that this will cross two year low today. Possibly go below 9.00. Highly exposed to lots of projects being developed.

Recent low 9.12. Will it cross this today

This has certainly not helped the value of CDL. One of the  poorest performers in STI todate.

Also, I wonder if any of you noticed the dividend payout ? Really sucks for a $9-10 counter. Less than 1 % with capital depreciation even. Wonder what the management has been doing with all those so-called huge profits from recent property boom ?

City Developments Limited  (CDL) announced that it is selected as an index component on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI World and DJSI Asia Pacific). This makes the Company the only Singapore developer to be listed on both Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes and FTSE4Good Index Series. (S$9.26, 5.7%)

City Developments’ subsidiary, City e-Solutions, says the group expects to record a bigger loss for the unaudited consolidated results of the group for the nine months ended 30 September 2011, as compared with a loss of HK$1.7 million ($277,000) for the first 6 months of 2011 and a profit of HK$15.2 million for the corresponding period in 2010. City e-Solutions says the the loss was mainly attributable to net unrealised losses arising from fair value readjustments of the group’s trading securities as a result of the adverse movements in global financial markets.
