as long as you only sell when you see " XD" beside the counter name, you will receive your dividends. no need wait till payout date.

Hi folks,
Anyone can advise DBS ex-dividend is 9th May but what is the payout date?
Incase i hold DBS until ex-dividend 9th May, do i still get my dividend if i sell out my shares before the " payout date" ?
First time i try get dividend, so i am abit confuse how it works.
If deal goes through...price down ?
If its hanging ...no direction..price down?
If deal fails to go thru.... expansion in indonesia is not possible...price also down?
dilema , to buy or not to buy arh?

Ink is cheap compares to notes printed. Although these too get cheaper and cheaper in value
as more and more are printed.
Who knows ... the day might come when S$1 : 90 US cents ... if they dun restrain themselves.

Hmmm i haven't thought about it. I suppose anytime above 50 cents profit calls for sell.
And buy back and sell ... hv a bit of fun.
Go with the flow in this volatile mkt. We all know it wld hv been ugly if not for ECB, or FED
sending out printing press everytime they face headwind.
Dividend, meanwhile acts as cushion when things turn bad.

tired bear ..... selling dying off ..... in very oversold zone .....
a flattened pattern ..... potentially, a technical reversal could be surfacing .....
