LottVision, the Hong Kong-based technology solutions provider for lottery and video surveillance industries, is penetrating China's Web TV market through an acquisition. It said yesterday it is acquiring China-based Tian Tian Zai Xian Services for US$5m. The acquisition, to be internally financed, is expected to be completed by Aug 31.
LottVision expects to leverage on Tian Tian's 15-year contract to provide technical services to Beijing Online Jiu Zhou, one of the 7 licensed Web TV operators in China. Such a licence enables a provider to provide Internet television and video-related content, as well as news information services.
iResearch, an Internet research firm in China, expects the number of online video users in the country to more than double, from 170m in 2007 to 390m in 2010. LottVision expects the Web TV industry to generate revenue from advertising as well as subscription and downloading fees. It cited research from iResearch, which expects online video advertising to increase almost 7x from RMB410m ($80.7m) in 2007 to RMB2.7bn in 2010.
LottVision is also buying the remaining 25% stake it does not already own in subsidiary Sino Gear Force for HK$23.5m ($4.1m) through the issue of new LottVision shares.

Hey fellow investor, I am eyeing on the stock too. But I will go in, after the morning dip. The stock has good potential to view it as a long term basis. I bet my Penny on it.
They can recommend anything. Whenever they do, the shares price drop....
hehe.... don't know is it coincidence..
Last year prior to the "SGX collapse" in stock prices, DBS brokers were calling a buy with TP 0.90 cents. It didn't even smell anything around 50 over cts when it tanked forever to below the 20 cents mark at 0.12 before climbing to 15 cts.
I think it can't go much further, but this counter is a crazy horse and can spike at the least suspected time. Quite risky if you buy and sell on contras. Must hold and see whether it can maintain its profitability in the near future.
A week have passed. What is the situation now? will it continue its upward trend?
Unfortunate thing abt this share is that many people thought it was like sh*t and suddenly its bottomline reversed.
I believe it will inched up steadily when the bbs collect at every half cent level.
Sometime back, I told my friend to put all his spare cash on this counter, felt guilty!! Made a wrong reccommendation to him and it started to fall and fall from 50 cents to 12 cents.
I think it is recovering.now and who knows what will happen?
