Pandan, looks like your predictions are begining to manifesting themselves.  At the very least, the co is starting to do something after such a long hibernation.  Enjoyed following your postings and insights thus far.

When I read the annc, I was scared about the co will only pay 1c for every dollar owed, I thought the company is really mati.

And who is Primefold group and the assigned creditor whom the co will pay to for all the rights bought over by the assigned creditor?

As for the Primefold, it is a newly set up co registered in BVI, I can only guess a thing, Anyway things will unfold soon.Smiley

Does any of you has the comment if the plan goes ahead?

Published July 3, 2007

Indon coal miner Adaro plans IPO

Adaro may raise as much as US$600 million selling between 20 and 30per cent of existing and new shares this year, said three people with knowledge of the plan. The proceeds will be used to pay debt, said the people, who declined to be identified because an announcement on the sale is pending.

Coal prices have surged after China, the biggest consumer of the fuel, cut exports and India sought more shipments to fire power stations.

The Jakarta Mining Index, which tracks Indonesia's 10 mining companies, has surged 77 per cent this year, more than four times the 18 per cent gain of the broader Jakarta Composite Index.

The IPO would help Adaro 'expand their volume aggressively and take advantage of the coal price increase', said Sebastian Tobing, an analyst at PT Trimegah Securities in Jakarta. 'Coal is a booming sector. The IPO would be attractive.'

More Indonesian companies are raising funds through the stock and debt markets as global investors seek higher yielding assets in emerging markets.

PT Media Nusantara Citra, owner of Indonesia's most-watched television channel, made 3.71 trillion rupiah (S$628.6 million) selling shares to the public on June7, the second-largest IPO. Overseas investors sought nine times the shares on offer, said Orias Petrus Moedak, managing director of PT Danareksa Sekuritas, which helped organise the sale.

Indonesian companies raised 5.2 trillion rupiah in initial share sales this year, compared with three trillion rupiah in the whole of 2006. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia's 4.17 trillion rupiah share sale in 2003 is currently Indonesia's biggest IPO.

Adaro is considering hiring Goldman Sachs Group Inc and UBS AG as advisers for the share sale, David Tendian, finance director of the Jakarta-based miner, said in an e-mail yesterday. He did not confirm the size of the sale. -- Bloomberg

(JAKARTA) PT Adaro Indonesia, the nation's second-largest coal producer, plans to sell shares in what would be the country's biggest initial public offering (IPO).
