That is correct too...

If one have the patience to wait, stocks are bound to come back up sooner or later...

NOL was another example of good fundamental stock that was sold all the way down below $1.60.  From a TA standpoint, you would have been pressured to sell with the herd.  Those who bought 6-8 months ago and those who held on to their position are now smiling end to end. You just got to know what you are doing, its your hard earn money or foreign capital for some, loose change for some uber rich after all ..period.

iPunter, moneymatters, I guess that's all the beauty of the stocks, right? well, LMA can be like SPC, (going down gradually up but U-turn so fast that I can't even catch it)...

All I can say is, stand still with your decisions, and see the 4Q market reaction.. and from there, let's learn something from it..

Well... in like manner, one can also say that the stock can drop through the floor in a matter of seconds if more people in the know dump it.

So either way, the risk is still present.

Dear Ipunter, reversal can come and come so fast, you absolutely have no time to react.  Saying it is easy....executing it right is a challenge all by itself.    It is just not possible for anyone of us to stay glued to your screen the entire day.  How often, we leave our seat for a toilet break to see prices move a great deal in a mater of minutes.  Likewise sell-down is the same.

Dear Jackjames and iPunter,

Tentatively I agree with you all, I shall see the market movement the day after tomorrow!

Like I said before, if one is out of it while it's still downtrending, one can always jump right back in when a reversal is apparent..

Previous week, there was a flat bottomed triangle with a support floor @0.565.

In the last two trading sessions there appear to be a new s floor forming @ 0.545.

But with results coming in the next few days, it may or may not fall through this new floor.

Thanx for the advice ipunter. I am skewed almost all the to the FA while ignoring TA. I'll take a more holistic approach after this and be more balanced. I;m wondering how long the Ambu case will take? About 3 months for a verdict? We have the 4Q/YR 2006 results next week, + also the Ambu case in some time soon.

4Q results is a crucial turning point, if possible, else, no news can spice this counter up.

I think the safest way to 'play' any stock, even those stocks we cherish very, very much in our hearts, is to do it technically ie. buy and sell according to what the charts say, period.

In this way, we totally remove the emotional aspect of the game and act in a detached manner, obeying only the 'needs of the moment'.

Hikitty, i've got a hypothetical question. Could a person/s "sabo" the syndicate by massive buying in when the syndicate is short-selling? Would such a scenerio burn the syndicate?

LMA has shockingly been on a downtrend for the past  ten trading days.  Is it mkt sentiment or is the P&L for 2006 going to very bad, compared to 2005?  Are the sellers and buyers genuine?    SGX shd step in to investigate.   So far, no profit warning  - result will be released on  Thursday 8 Feb 2007.   What will happen to the share if its 2006 P&L is not as bad compared to 2005?

Yes... Sohguanh is right...

The stock market is a highly unpredictable animal. No one can predict what will happen next, but one can only play by the probabilties and be defensive if wrong.

And being defensive is the key to not being wiped out.

TA... FA... or whatever manner of analysis are just tools to aid one's actions in buying and selling. Ultimately, being defensive is one's own decision.

Playing stocks/shares is neber purely about TA and FA alone. Market sentiment is an important factor during the process. Of cuz if the FA and TA is good, in the long run the share price should theoretically goes up.

Precisely of this sometimes irrational behavoir is this game of stocks/shares the downfall or the uprise of many investors.

Now who is that genius that invent the whole concept of having a stock exchange as a centralised place of buying/selling stocks/shares? Inspiration from wet markets, pasar malam? Hmmmm......

Hope the operators understand the untold misery they have caused to those who had cut loss . Is LMA recent performance  so poor to deserve the recent selldown to historical low prices?  Based on   TA and FA viewpoints, the recent selldown seemed overdone?   Would any FA and TA specialist care to comment?

syndicate is going to laugh all the way to the bank in a few weeks time....hats off to them for picking the right timing & right stock.  Pity those who have to cut loss due to weak holding power.

Hi hohokit and hulumas
hohokit: Hulumas hopes to make kopi $$$ through short selling, NOT outright selling

hulumas: The short sellers had gained kopi $$$ in the recent selldown of LMA coz' the weak holders had been overcome by "fear".   You mean the profit of LMA is so poor for the last quarter of 2006  to deserve the recent selldow - no better than China stocks?  No more selldown this morning likely because the short sellers do not wish to be caught redhanded.
