You still holding Asiatic? I sold all already. Price to NTA is 1.8x . Feel that in the next correction, will not be like last time when it went against the tide. The rights issue will make the stock "not so cornered" so with increased supply of shares in the market, the price may not remain at current levels. You might be better off selling and looking for other value plays. Unless you intend to hold Asiatic for long term...

Terence,

Good. i am also holding on to 80 lots of Asiatic despite reshuffling my portfolio to take profits.. Bought into singtel (dividend and defensive play), united enviro (laggard), timewatch (financial year just closed  in jun 07).  Let me know if Jasper can buy in ...

Hi terence,

Looking at the price of "Jasper" currently at 0.030, in your opinion would it be still feasible to buy?

I've read that the FA of Jasper is actually pretty good with a subtaintial amount of cash flow.

Would greatly appreaciate if you could share some opinion on this counter.

Thanks & regards,

Dave

In view of some defamation cases happenning at SJ (I feel bad that such things took place), I want to emphasise on some points:
  • I am just posting on SJ to let you guys know what I am vested in.
  • My postings are not an inducement to trade.
  • You have the right to decide whether you want to follow me (like some famous people in the world). I will not feel bad even if no one reads my postings.
  • Pls do your own research before you make any trade.
  • I will not be responsible for any losses suffered.

I hope everyone will be responsible for their own decisions. Never trade on the basis of a call from other people.

Other than Asiatic and Nippecraft, the rest are still relatively cheap.

Just bought Asia Power at 0.385. Turning bullish today on high volumes. STS has been increasing for the past few days.

Just to clarify, Asiatic is FULLY VALUED AT THE MOMENT. Good for long-term people with no experience or heart for following the bull.

Hi everyone, I have sold MacarthurCook Property Securities Fund. Reason: Not that it is bad, but just to catch up with the bull. For low risk takers, continue to hold. It pays you well, 9 to 10% annually, and its price has been crawling up slowly. I have sold about 70% of Asiatic also to be in the bull run. So guys, with my funds available, do look out for my next buy. Have a nice day and thank you for reading.

Hi everyone

Sorry for disappearing for some time. But just to update:

I have sold all my Japan Land shares at $0.11. But I am still holding my warrants. Sold half my holdings in GMG and Nippecraft.  Vicplas today suddenly cheong so i sold it off.  Anyone interested in Malaysian shares?

Hi all

I have just bought Vicplas, I believe this company will benefit from increased sales of PVC pipes as construction is booming. Every building has lots of PVC pipes. Gearing is 0.4 times, ROE about 17%, P/E is high now, but will soon come down when they deliver good results

Warrants arecheaper alternatives to invest in the company. However, as for the amount of time value to pay ( warrant has lifespan of 3 years ), you will need to check out with some graduates in economics. I am currently only studying the basics of economics so don't know much about it yet.

Thanks terencefok for ur reply & advise... it closed last Friday @ $0.105 if I'm not wrong. Hmm... looks like I'll have to wait for the next 'correction' for this stock? Or it will just continue to go north & leave me behind...

Btw, happened to see that there is a new Warrant on Japan Land starting trading tomorrow, do you think it'll be wiser/ safer to get into position via this instead? Never trade warrants before, so not quite sure about how it works also... Will be great to get some opinions from Terencefok & other experts!!!

Cheers & 'Huat Arh' to all in the stock market tomorrow!!!

Hi stock_newbie, I think you may want to wait for it to go back to 8.5 to 9 cents before buying.
