However, I still think that its not really an attractive business when it only has a small stake in many companies. Of course its well diversifed business across sectors and region and strong management key is appealing. Shall wait for XD price, hopefully around 30 cents region.

According to company reports filed with SGX, CH has been buying back shares on 14/11, 15/11 and today. This is good news and hope something better is brewingt!!

Possible divestment of CH Offshore?
According to media reports, Scomi Marine's 29% direct stake in CH
Offshore is currently up for sale and the former has received
solicitations from interested parties. The stake was acquired back in
2005 as part of the S$571m deal to buy over CHH's marine and offshore
interests. Based on Scomi's cost of S$0.40/share and current market
value of CHO, the revaluation surplus to Scomi equates to S$112m. A sale
would allow Scomi to pare down its RM340m debt burden with the proceeds.
Offshore operators are currently in hot demand, evidenced by recent
acquisitions of Pan United Marine and Labroy Marine (by Dubai Drydocks).
We believe CHH and Scomi could bundle their stakes (52%) in a collective
sale to exact a higher control premium. CHH's stake in CHO is currently
worth S$162m (S$0.15/share) and considering the company's track record
of rewarding shareholders, we believe management is likely to distribute
a significant portion of the proceeds back to shareholders in the event
of a successful sale.
Position early to optimise risk-rewards
Our SOTP valuation for the stock works out to 54 cents. We apply market
values for the listed holdings and value the stake in CHO at
S$1.10/share based on the target price set by KE Research O&G analyst,
Sebastian Heng. Applying a 10% holding company discount, our target
price is S$0.48. With 26% potential upside, we rate the stock a buy. Key
catalyst is sale of the CHO stake and a payout of the proceeds. The 30%
discount to our SOTP valuation limits downside risks.

Yes, you are absolutely right! The stock price is not affected at all when the correction took place this morning, signalling its strength and potential. Definitely a good stock to keep!

I've been monitoring this counter for a while and do not detect any large volumes lately...the volumes are generally less than a million lots a day. Is it possible that these large volume buys are not reflected in the daily stock movements?
BBs means "Big Boys", a term in the stock market indicating the large insituitions, bodies or people who invested very heavily usually in millions.
Good to know...but what does "BB" means?
Strongly believe that the announcement for the CD will be pretty soon by end of Oct 2007. This stock is going to move soon as most of the stocks in the construction and shipping industry have already moved or even soared. Watch out.....BBs accumulating....
