Hi Eastonboy

SC's Macau investment will not improve SC's profit until two years later.  Unless SC has taken over a gaming outlet in Macau, possible ?

Sorry Eastonboy. Can't see the announcement on website. Where is it posted? If it is confirmed, it shd be good for SC. NCL could have been dragging down SC's bottom line .

there are only 2 persons that come to mind... can imagine them grinning, Hulumas and StarCruise champion Hikitty.

NCL deal was announced awhile ago already, so I don't think today's rise has got something to do with it. For such magnitude, prob more to do with Macau. Look at the volume, passed 207 mil shares. Let's wait for the good news...

Any truth that NCL will be hived off ? Reason for surge?  If true, sky is the limit for the SC shares?

Hi BBs and syndicates

God bless you for buying up SC for its new investments.  Target today US 0.50cts(?) to give those who think SC is a junk  share (by short selling)   a rousing send-off.  Million thanks to all BBs and syndicates

Hi waterfalls

Pse check me if I am wrong.  You mean that in addition to rights issue in Dec 2006,  SC placed out new shares? What is your learned opinion  of SC ?  How long will it take for SC to recover to its good old days when its shares  usually traded  above  USD 30 cents?

Have you all gone for a cruise before ? Is a happy moment and I like the sea breeze and look at some Sui Char Bo. But how offend you go, their income all depend on Japan and Indonesia. So be realistic, in this world, almost all want to take chance and gambler is everywhere. But they also gain from offload genting share, I presumed their prospect is better. Hold on to it, this share will not see results so soon. They depend on Gamblers who go onboard. And in gambling, who is winner, it is the house. So have some faith in this share. Hold for a while !

The reason why SC is trading at this level is because it had announced in Jan 2007 the issuance of 255 million new shares at US$0.29.

Watchout for the 1 Qtr 07 results coming soon. It will indicate whether the co has turned around the corner. . What is worrisome is the North America/ Europe cruise biz which posted an operating loss of US$90 million last year. This figure includes a one-off loss provision of US$30 million for a certain ship among other things. I expect the Asia Pacific cruises to be more profitable this year.

My take is that SC will likely to move into the black. Of course, the $250 million cash payment from Genting goes a long way. We need greater details on the Macau project to assess the co's future growth potential.

Genting has seconded its COO, David Chua Ming Huat to replace Tan Sri Lim KoK Thay as the President of SC. It indicates the firm commitment of the parent co towards the successful restructuring of SC and the execution of the Macau project.

Hi waterfalls

Thanks for the selfless effort in posting the TA and in  recording the dates of the peak prices to help in your TA.   The way the resistance prices have been succumbing, it is VERY VERY unlikely to recover this year.  Hope to be proved right!  What's your take on its recovery this year?

Hikitty,

Trading in this counter was brisk yesterday with vol rising to 9 million shares. A good sign is the 20D-MA has crossed over 50D-MA. William%R shows slight rebound. But A/D and RSI still no signs of reversal. This means share is drifting sideways for now. Watch out for any spikes in vol over the next few days.  Resistance ahead wld be 32.5 cts when 46 million shares were traded on 24-4-07. If this is broken, the next resistance is 35 cts when 33 million shares traded on 23-3-07.

Hi waterfalls

Do you , or other FA or TA specialists, think that SC is firming  up to move  north soon?  While most other counters have moved north, SC  still lags behind the market.  GIL has already  moved north coz' of its IR catalyst.  Shdn't it be SC's turn coz' of its Macau investment as its catalyst. What is your take on SC moving north soon?

True, the share needs new impetus to kickstart. Coming soon, Genting shareholders will be voting whether to buy over SC's share in Sentosa IR. Altho' this is a given, it may still cause the price to shake a little. Right now it has probably bottomed out.

More crucially, SC should release more details on the much anticipated Macau project like the type of facilities, the completion date, projected revenues, profits etc. In this way, the shareholders and the public can make an informed decision.
