Dear Lausk22,
Ha... ha... ha... if only I could........
When you are very loaded u can buy all the way, even take over the company because u can afford to. It is plain common sense.;)
Hulumas,
Let's wait & see if this dragon will fly. I am vested in this at 38.0.
Btw, do you know Lum Chang sold Paradiz Centre?
Dear Synnexo,
Lum chang is one of my stock holding counter with satisfied return since 1996. Even in its construction slump period, it delivered about 7% anual return from 1996 up to 2002. While, 2002 on wards it delivered more than 10% annual return till now!!!
Dear Hulumas,
How can you be so sure about the 5th wave? You keep insisting on height of it. I am just curious about your persistence of vision.
Dear Hulumas...
I am not particularly referring to you when I said don't listen to tips and recommendations. I was only speaking generally... :)
Actually, I quite admire your resilient style of investing, but it is only suitable for certain people who have the required tenacity, means and perseverance (like yourself).
I have no doubt you will win hugely in the longer term. But I am only a short-term punter.

Dear Readers,
Be ready to let Lum Chang surpassing Sgd. 0.40 soon!!!
Dear Ultrameg,
Yes Chip Eng Seng is good. However, its potential % gain is not as good as Lum Chang in the long run, talking start buying both at the present price level. Hence, I prefer Lum Chang to Chip Eng Seng.
Dear Cocomon,
It is time for your "holding power" to do the job. Hold for long term, at least to the end of 2008 please!!!
hi lewsh88, if you are comfortable applying your own so-called 'strategy' and make money, continue doing it. At the end of the day, it's making $$$ that's important. Like yourself, I go in when I feel the price is low and do FA on that stock. But after reading books on TA and attended TA class, I feel more confident now,and of course get better returns. As mentioned by ipunter, do not jump in upon one's reconmmendation/tip, you need to do your analysis and judgement.Happy trading, Cheer!
Dear iPunter,
I am afraid, I do not agree with that at all!
lewsh88...
Yes, you are perfectly right.
It is really not advisable to take anyone's recomendations, tips, etc...
since the one's who make the recommendations may also lose their pants themselves!

iPunter,
I agree that most stocks (not all though) will rise if one holds on long enough. I do not do TA or FA when I buy, but overall I made money by buying when I feel the price is low and holding for about 1 to 12 months. A few I held up to 3 years such as Singtel and NOL.
I do not sell if I do not make.
Sadly, I lost some money when I begin to read the forums in SJ and jumped into some stocks blindly following some postings. After attending one TA class where I was also taught "To avoid chat room chatter", I am back on track now with my old style of trading and making money.
Dear Hulumas,
Somehow, I had saw your post for Lum Chang.
The construction stocks had rallied for several months. If Lum Chang was to increase by 300%, how about ChipEngS? Did you do a study on ChipEngS too?
Regards,
Ultrameg
lausk22...
Seriously, what I meant was... with any stock, if after buying one holds long enough, the stock will almost definitely rise in the long term.
So you are right to say that those who have the financial holding power to last the worst market conditions will survive and benefit from the eventual rise.

U mean the "blue blood billionaires" who have plenty of pounds and pennies to spare to hold onto whatever they have collected until kingdom comes when the market bleeds :)?
Looks like the only people who will benefit in the end will be those "true blue" long-term investors... :)
Dear Readers,
5th wave rally will commence soon. I am glad, I have added up another 78 lots to Lum Chang. This time rally will surpass Sgd. 0.41 for sure!
Support is around 33c at this 4th wave. The ht of 5th wave will be around 43c. At the moment AD & C Charts do not look good.
hi everyone, i m a newbie to this. can i seek the views of the gurus on this counter? i had entered in at its high of 0.38, now concerned it will drop further due to sand bans etc. any advise on this?
