Price crash is norm in this market condition. Such news of take-over are not reliable especially the company did not inform the SGX that they are in talks with some companies of buying the company or division. This is a material information to be made known. You should look at the stock fundamentals rather than take-over.

Nav is about 0.53c/share. Attractive PE. Worth 0.46c only?
Saw the price going up, could be market rebound and also the rumour of take over seems getting clearer. Compare with those counter that correction drops, and are slowly inching up like snails in 2 - 3 cents. This one is regaining in the fast highway extreme right lane. Got potential !!!!

My calculation : assuming the lowest price tag of $300m (Dowjones Newswire stated at least $300m) divided by no. of issued shares of 527,970,627 (FY06) = 56.82cents. The price tag of at least $300m is for Beyonics HDD divison only, exclude other divisions like Bio-med, Plastic moulding, Automotive etc.etc. That's why DBSV put a TP of >80c on Beyonics (if u include the other divisions not for sale yet). Correct me if I m wrong, please.

Per Dowjones newswire: It could be sold for at least $300m (i.e. Beyonics Hard-disk business alone). That means each share gets about 56c (as there are about 500m shares issued) Note especially, this is only the HDD business, & does NOT include other divisions of Beyonics, i.e. Bio-med, plastic moulding, automotive, consumer electronics etc etc. that could add up to > 80c. Hold tight to Beyonics till further announcement from SGX website.

Next week - expects fireworks for Beyonics...bidding wars between KKR & NIDEC Japan. Good chance that Beyonics may test new high > 80c soon than we thought.

US private-equity firm Kolhberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) is reportedly looking into buying the hard-disk drive business of Singapore's Beyonics Technology.
KKR representatives are to meet executives from Beyonics next week, sources told Dow Jones Newswires.
The deal could be worth at least $300 million.
Japan's Nidec Corp (NJ), which recently bought Singapore's Brilliant Manufacturing, may also be eyeing Beyonics' hard-disk drive assets as a means of securing its position in the industry. ....

is not correct. The highest price is 61.5 c while the highest closing price is 59.5c NOT around 80c.
Rumours for small players to buy up and BBs can run fast with high volumes........
Monday is another day for shortist to short esp, this counter.....high price with high return back to below 40cents........then 30cents......

thanks shplayer. the thing is, everything is down. i was wondering if it is just beyonics that is going down. if it is an overall market down trend, i presume all counters will pick up when the market goes up. is beyonics sinking or is the recent fall just a reflection of the overall market?
