Just to add on, if it is possible I would suggest that you skip this counter altogether. Really too risky and highly overvalued.

Thank you!

May I know if your 56cents is based on fundamental value or  technical view.

I am not shorting but I am hoping to buy acutally.

If you are asking for my opinion:

I would say try to cover your short or buy on Wed 16 OCT. As I expect US congress to reach a last min deal on 17 OCT, which would then caused a sudden huge spike in stock price, including Yoma- Since Myanmar is  now seen as a " close friend" of US.  Thus it would be better to buy before that or at least avoid shorting during that period. Other than that, my view for Yoma insists that it worth nothing more than 56cents.

Reiterate TP of 56cents. Current price highly overvalued, shorting encouraged!!!!

Short-term: Investors are eyeing better risk-reward opportunities in developed countries. Temporary lose interest in developing countries counters which have been overvalued over the past few years.

Mid-Term: Fed tapering is going to send a shock wave across Asia, interest rate hike and less affordable development projects in Myanmar.

Long term (biggest concern):   Myanmar has developed too fast, powerful groups in the country are set to lose their power quickly and they have the incentive and power to overturn the current progress toward democracy. In fact I am speculating that Aung san suu kyi won't get a fair election.

Hope this helps those who seeked opinions.

Agree with you, overvalued. My  most optimistic  TP for this is merely 56cents. The presses have been reporting about " great opportunities" in Myanmar, economic risks that are highly possible have been downplayed. If it is fast enough, we can expect to see problems surfacing  in Myanmar's economy as soon as next June. You can easily verify  the risk that  I claimed  from Googling. Some advices when trading with Myanmar related  stocks:

1) Avoid hinging decision on the recommendation of one analyst. Get a bigger picture from different analysts.

2) Do valuation with realistic growth rate and discount rate.

3) Always diversify portfolio and limit the weightage of such risky counter.

To the others who are still bullish about this counter,  stay true to your view please. Who knows? Maybe it might just hit 90.5 cents just like DBS said

I liked the term there is " nothing considered overvalued" . Thumbs up for you and hope you  continue buying. Maybe Yoma can reach $20 per share? I might be joking, so let the market do the talking.

:) Cheers

There is nothing consider over valued... this term is used just by analyst to cap the price. Market force are the one who will determine the worth of price..... there are a lot more country that is developed faster then Myanmar...ie PRC and India... can try betting against the flow if anyone dare....unless one have to abilities and means to control the counter else it is the market force that does the talking. Thanks. Just my point of view..

Yoma's Q1 net profit tumbles 80.6%

YOMA Strategic Holdings Ltd posted a net profit of S$420,000 for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013, an 80.6 per cent plunge from a net profit of S$2.2 million a year ago.

This was due to higher administrative and operating expenses as a result of an increase in headcount and staff costs.

Revenue rose 11.6 per cent from a year ago to S$15.2 million.

This was driven by sales of residences and Land Development Rights (LDR) which contributed S$14.4 million or 94.4 per cent of the total revenue during the quarter.
