Its the mid caps  that shedded alot  actually, not the big blue chips. Ocbc isn't down by that much as compared to  ie. Olam in relative & absolute  terms.

You must look at the whole market...
not just at your own selected counters...
many blue chips also dropped like sheet today...

waiting to go long at 1.580.

already covered my shorts. genting-sp looks unlikely to tank below 1.58.  support is rather strong. i feel it may climb back past 1.60.
if it does dip back to 1.585, i will long. |

akin to the tides of the great seas, small fishes like us better go along with the undulating waves. when the chart shows up, we go long, when it goes dow, we go short. bit by bit.

What matters most is the major trend of the market...
It's no use to compare the minor daily differences...
ie. don't sweat the small things... lol...

U know, in this market being a remiser in STI makes no sense.
I rather just be happy earning my rent

Besides, it is really very sad to see people lose
a lot of their hard-earned money by playing stocks...

Guess GSP will open lower and test 1.58 if dow really bleed profusely.

If one's trading style has a built-in defensive mechanism,
it will work out well in the long run. Thus if one shorts only
at ripe juicy-juicy peaks, one's returns are maximised,
and optimised. In any case, one's losses, if wrong are
always  minimised by the application of the S/L...
rotijai ( Date: 19-Aug-2011 00:12) Posted:
no.. we should have the balls to short at the juicy peaks..
not having the balls to short when dow jones already dropped more than 400 pts. |
