Rubber future contracts continue strong up trends in morning trading today!

As you can appreciate, it is difficult to predict commodity prices. However, prices in Jan 07 seems to be on up trend.
Jan 07 ave price so far is about the same level as 2H06 ave prices....bearing in mind that, after peaking in Jun/Jul 06, rubber prices have been downtrending to a bottom to Nov/Dec 06.

I refer to MRB prices..I use their monthly average prices to make the assessment.
Yes you are right...2H 06 prices are generally higher than 2H 05.
I must have skimmed thru it too quickly ...APOLOGIES for the error.
shplayer, I looked at some chart at Sicom and it seemed to indicate that rubber price for 2nd half 06 is higher than 2nd half 05. Where did you get the information that they are about the same? Thanks.!!

Base on the rubber price trend for the last 3 months, what is your forecast of the trend for first half of 07?
GMG 1st Half 06 results already beat FY05 by 50%.
From rubber prices data, 2nd Half 06 is about the same as 2nd half 05.....bearing in mind that 2nd half 05 prices were better than 1st half 05.
Therefore, FY06 results should be substantially better than FY05.
Kottayam Jan. 25 - Spot rubber made another sharp surged on Thursady. Fresh buying and short covering added strength to sentiments. Supply fears kept covering groups and purchase agents more active since the peak production season is very close to its finishing line.
No idea when GMG will release their result.....but for sure FY06 Full Year result will be a lot better than FY05!!

Rubber Futures at Tocom moved up strongly again today!
Kottayam Jan. 22 Domestic rubber prices improved on Monday. In the spot market, RSS 4 moved up to Rs. 98 and Rs 97.50 a kg, respectively at Kottayam and Kochi from Rs 97 a kg on Saturday. The market recorded all-round gains amidst weak supply.
Rubber Futures at Tocom moved up strongly today!

slow today, accumulate , got in another 50lots at 0.115
There are 268 posting in this thread when I post this reply. After reading these latest 20 or so posting, it seems that most forumer are bullist on this counter.
My TA chart also indicates uptrend. So, I just bought 100k at 0.115.

Today, was eating lunch at Lau Pa Sat, overheard a group of office workers, seems like brokers. They mentioned that the 1/2 years results is already exceed more than previous year. Seems the full year result should be well above ! Good Luck to those whp bought this counter !!!
