Huh, buying today again at Sgd. 1.70  for money cost averaging still having big big paper loss. Next target will be Sgd. 1.50, I hope it won't reach this price. Any suggestion? Should I cut loss first and do recovering later?

Smrt is moving while Sats is station, so Sats drops speed lower than Smrt. Anticipating to do money cost averaging at about Sgd. 1.68.(CAVEAT EMPTOR)

Why sudden weakness????

 

I shorted SATS on Monday at $2.10. With the dividend being 10cents - the automatic gap down is 10 cents which means my short price is $2.

I did this because its sister company - SIA Eng - went XD about 5 days earlier with a 16 cents dividend. But on XD day - its gap down was more than 20 cents and has in the last few days gone down an additional 25 cents on top of its 16 cents auto gap down.

I am betting that SATS will follow the same decline "pattern" as SIA Eng. If I am correct - some people here will be sad and vice versa. As of Tuesday - I appear to be correct. But with the DOW currently at plus 170 points - I might be proven wrong when the market opens on Wed.
