According to Vard's 2Q2013 SGX Financial Announcement, Para 10. Prospects   :
At the end of the second quarter of 2013, the order book value amounted to NOK 14.0 billion.

Is it? I thought is around NOK 4 billion plus, according to their reports. Next contract wins if accurate would be around NOK 6 billion, once again according to what they said (not me..).

Just thought is interesting to share this grandfather story (from The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham):
Recent history and a mountain of financial data have shown that the market is unkindest to rapidly growing companies that suddenly report a fall in earnings. More moderate or stable growers tend to suffer somewhat milder stock declines if they report disappointing earnings. Great expectations lead to great disappointment if they are not met a failure to meet moderate expectations leads to a milder reactions. Thus, one of the biggest risks in owning growth stocks is not that their growth will stop, but merely that it will slow down. And in the long run, that is not merely a risk, but a virtual certainty. [p 321]
In a few aspects, quite similar to what is happening to Vard now. Anyway just a story. No other meaning or intention intended..

Around 2 billion plus
From kim eng report, Vard mgnt confirms to get 12b nok projects by end 2013. So we have 4.5 months left. Anyone knows how much billion nok vard got so far in 2013 ?

The obvious catalyst will be contract wins announcement which may happen anytime. Everyone may either trade in and out at the meantime or just wait. But BBs have many small batches orders. |

I think this counter has been on the downtrend long enough. It's time to reverse up, formed double flags recently. Think it's time to accumulate, SFGuyRuleZ could be right.
Thanks all. Roped in 50 lots with cpf at 1.245 months ago before that failed privatisation ex. Kinda regret. Selamat hari raya, maaf zahir batin.

I may not be correct in the disclosure of changes in shareholdings part. Maybe some other forum members can explain and clarify. I have no idea why the figures can't tally in the documents..

Thanks for the support guys!! Was really very angry plus coupled with
some personal issues. Anyway I shall just keep my posts limited for the
future. Let's not turn this into an argumentative and in-beneficial
forum. Healthy discussions however, would always be welcomed.Anyway, the
gapped up inverted doji on Wed really looks ominous. Support however we can see, it is very strong at 0.835 and 0.83, coupled with the fact that volume of around 12.5 million shares are " stuck" at least above 0.83. There can be a few scenarios that may occur:
1)
The counter becomes " bearish" , albeit with a few small black bodies or
dojis that hovers around 0.83 - 0.81,0.8,0.795 or even 0.775 as they are
the previous supports. Wouldn't be too bearish but probably sideways,
unless a big black body covers all the way down to like 0.775.
2) The counter hovers around 0.83 or 0.835 to 0.86 and 0.865, as 0.865 is the resistance for now.
3) A gap-up above 0.865, which confirms the finish of the fry-pan bottom pattern. (quite unlikely yet I feel)
The
recent disclosure of changes in shareholdings should not be given too
much meaning as I interpret it as neutral. Part of the white candlestick
buy-up last Tuesday is perhaps because Mitshubishi UFJ Financial Group also acquired around
1.7 million shares from the public through Morgan Stanley. However,
1.41 million shares has since being sold back to the public this
Tuesday. Mitshubishi still has around 20% or more interest in Morgan Stanley by which Morgan Stanley owns around 4.5% of Vard's shares. To me, this just means that Mitshubishi is also trading to perhaps earn some kopi money =). Nothing positive or negative, in my opinion. Once again, a happy national day!!Disclaimer:

bravo
...in share ... it is good to have independent view and make own decision ...... it is okay to read / study various article / view... but not to sway by them easily... ...same for posting...
My friend bought 50 lots at 765 to support. No 1.5 no sell
