I  am vested in this counter. Hold it for many years already. Agreed with all the comments so far but just want to listen to your view. Do you have any constructive suggestions that as Mgt of this company can do to bring about greater returns for the shareholders? What new business strategies/models you can recommend that will make a difference?

It is correct that the Management is in a vry cozy situation. I thought Tony was going to kick some butts, it turned out that he is too compassionate with those parasites (long service).

Even an Ang Mo might not be able to do much if those parasites grouped together to form a resistant group.

The next best solution is to make some money and look for greener patures in other stocks.

This is typical of a monopoly.

A dull, safe and preditable share with steady income.Good to hold for hi dividend but no upsize surprise.

Management too comfortable need to get a angmo foreign talent to release to hidden value

To all zoo keepers out there, there's alot of elephants like M1, SPH, MMP Reit - undervalued compared to their peers.  They are basically good value stocks with healthy balance sheets and generous dividend payout,  overlooked by the general market.   Understand it can be frustrating when STI and its penny counsins move and these elephants just refused to move.

$5.70 is beyond my wildest expectation. I simply have no patience for this  Jumbo to lift its butt.. At $5, I will release all my 100 gran on SPH

M1 gave bigger than expected div but this elephants simply refuse to move it's butt. I guess Starhub news will be a no event too. I am waiting for the big special div for the all sell out Thomson Condo and the divestment of Paragon before this giant decides to move. I am targeting $5.70.

Good news

Starhub is paying out higher dividends and possibly, capital reduction. This means more money for SPH

$5 is appearing in the horizon.

Strong buy recommended by most analysts. What is happening to this blue chip. Instead of going north it goes south.Since strongly buy call  from analysts, would appreciate their views.

any particular reason for the slip? half year result ending Feb should be announced in Apr. This period could be the blackout period for their staff to trade....in any case, weak half year performance could have already prompted selling...let's hope for some goodies like special dividend before share price reverses its fall

Yeah...the upwards movement phenomenon will usually only be experienced after you sold the stock.

Signals now indicate that it may either be stagnant or downtrend gradually.

yeah stock options are almost free as staff usually just have to pay nominal of $1. But these options were probably based on much higher prices than current which means no profit or little profit if exercised. Friends in SIA earning handsome profit as stock has been rising from $10+ to present level over the past months....Today another lacklustre one for SPH....ZZZZZZZZZZ
