Indeed I do invest in relationships...
but so far haven't found a high potential & high return person yet! ^^

 

elf, thanks for your kind advice. Frankly, I started learning to read trade volume and price relationships, buy up/sell down, bull trap signal etc after you guys/gals started discussing it months back. Before that my buy/sell decision was mainly based on fundamental and gut feel. Totally oblivious to what others do. Now I learn to use tools provided online like times/sales/volume. I am also more cautious about like the timing of releasing analyst reports, how the counter runs up and tumbles down etc. So, many thanks to you and many others in this forum *thank you, 10q, thanx, thks" Hee, I have quite good sake, asked friend to buy from Japan. Can use it to 'xiao4-jin4' you for all that I have learned from you!

Gem TV is the typical fund house trick, few week ago some fund house said is super good rated to "BUY" list.... later another fund house said something wrong... need to run road then whole thing just went kios!!!

 Any way I think TatHong is really doing good with solid fundalmental... was watching it since 2 yrs ago... day by day it grow bigger!!!

aside, just posted on gems tv. eastonbay, if you want an eg of 'do what they do, not what they say', go look at the techs for gems, plus their analysts report etc: esp the date of the report cutting rating to neutral. They sold since abt 4th april (earliest sign of selling act abt 30 mar) while issuing bullish reports abt late march. blatant case of talk up while they're selling at the back.

kitten, perhaps look to other counters if you're keen on trading.

Ya, somehow, they dun smile enough for us. Lufthansa also so-so.  Finnair is not too bad as well. Wow, you packed so many places within 3 weeks! For me, one theme, one or at most 2 regions in one country for each trip.  Rothenburg and the Romantic Road.........and Munich's famous castle. That's so romantic!

 

Fairygal, me checked Emirates already. But they fly into Madrid only. Then from there I'll be on my own into Lisbon, dont want to have a back-track route. Emirates' services are much better than SQ. They smile more sincerely than many of ours own gals.

 

For economical, reliable and good service airline, you may want to try Emirates. Mine's open jaw as well.Go to their website and key in your multiple destination to get your quote.Less than SGD1400 per adult incl taxes and surcharge. Good service.  Flew with them before. What's more, frequent flyer miles as well.

Maybe Chinkiasu can tell us something about airlines....since he takes the plane more than MRT.

 

Bunbun, actually I wanted to cover from Netherlands, Belgium, France to Italy, but then I dont really like France & too much to cover w/in close to 3 weeks. So, now change to Portugal, Spain then Italy, I was in Greece last year. My friend & I agreed last year will go Italy if they win the WC....so now u know why I plan to stay in Italy the longest...hehe...;) Just check with Lufthansa for Open Jaw tix, they quote about S$2054/-, 2pax, to fly into Lisbon & back from Rome. Think that's the cheapest so far. KLM charge S$3300/-. Next year will be planning to go Switzerland, Austria & Czech Republic.

 

heh, if i can take backpack 1 mth, that probly means i'm unemployed at that time liao lah. or else, max i can take is probly 2-3 wks, and this is counting my blessings liao.

 

see how lah. if still holding my job at that time, will try negotiate for a 3-4 wks break.

synnexo, is your air tix open jaw? fly into barcelona and out from whichever city in italy? ya, u should expect the rail tix to be very ex coz it's a long way from Spain to Italy. why don't u do countries around Spain or around Italy? wouldn't this be easier on your pockets and cut down time?

 

my coming trip gonna includ belgium and UK coz i need to visit frens there. how many countries and where i'm going in betw would depend on how much time i have. if i've at least 1-mth, ho seh liao, can cover most central and west europe in a single trip.

 

Hi Bunbun, thank u so much for helping out. The Eurorail is from Barcelona via France then Milan. Think will pass through Nice, Marseille & Monaco. Takes about 11hrs...the rail pass is more expensive than the flight tix(Euro40). Chan Brothers have some Free & Easy promotions in centre page of Today. Think quite worth it as it comes with free accomodation.

 

Hi elf,bunbun,fortunegal and YJ Yes bunbun is rite,ur kitten is for elf and it is stand alone. Bunbun is my god daughter.Cannot leave her outside mah? Bunbun,backpack in august together with me and wife lah.At least u can look after us. elf, cannot wiat till oct to backpack. either go by jun/jul period or not going at all. and it's been 4 yrs since i went europe, so am looking at backpacking in europe. had a very bad experience in cambodia. definitely not going back there again.

hi synnexo, i haven't been to the places u are planning to go. so cannot recommend the best way to get to these places. hmmm... but somehow cannot link Spain and Italy. i very free this 2 wks, will go see lonely planet this wkend and let u know my thoughts.

credit for stl should go to shplayer, not me. he's the one who raised the counter, i merely called the techs on it. my geges and i are splitting up the work ya see. they do the FA, i call the techs. of course, any buy/sell decision is up to individuals alone, but it helps since we can leverage off each other.

yepyep, very happy with the two counters. the other two positioned already. want a fifth counter hiap hoe but not enough funds. sian. will see how.

 

dun worry kitten, elf ain't gonna go anywhere if her pets can't come along. :) be careful gems tv btw. anr overhyped counter.

It's 3-star hotel.  The Greeks love their rooftops and usually have a drink/ meal on their rooftop.  They really utilise their rooftops well. So my description of penthouse is according to their standard. And you will fall in love with the view of Acropolis by night!

I'm serious. We met this dark-haired couple who talked to us at the airport, asking about our origin. The woman has this weird heavy make-up, esp her eyes.  She stared into my eyes while asking me questions, some repeated.  my hubby got the questioning from the man, of course without makeup, who was curious to see our SGD notes.  They actually slowing separated us, back to back.  Interesting! Luckily our girls alerted us, calling out for us, and it's like we woke up from our dream. Beware of gypsies as well.
