Hi Elfin & Singaporegal,

I understand the nature of dog that displaying undivided affection at any time is much preferred as man best friend. Unlike cat that always inconstantly showing impulse passion one moment and ignore you then next moment when they get what they want.

The tip here is how to make the interest level high for the cat. I bet if you hit it right the cat is far more interactive then any dog.

But back to square, just make your own call either you are the dog person or the car person in life!! ^^ p.s: this article ain't anti/promote dog & cat adoption

many thanks Elf for your advise.. I think I will just hang on to STE cos I am not eyeing another stock:  however I am very tempted to buy more of Global voice... but now compare to 0.135 a few weeks ago this stock is now about 0.17, should I buy more?  I understand the CEO thinks the stock at its very least 0.30?

And yes GIANTLOW, where art thou?  Your absence is deafening..... we really missed you..

btw folks, talking of Jabba the Hutjabbas' salary increases.. I am reminded of a similar situation here in Kenya...  the arguments used here are "very persuasive"...but I think Singapore jabbas is outdoing the Kenyan jabbas,

Kenyan MPs vote to treble president's pay
Saturday December 9, 2006
The Guardian

President Mwai Kibaki received an early Christmas present from Kenyan MPs yesterday when they voted to nearly triple his basic salary - news greeted with anger in Kenya, where half of the population lives below the poverty line.

Mr Kibaki, who is from an extremely wealthy family with widespread business interests, will now be paid 2m shillings (£14,600) a month, up from 700,000 shillings (£5,100). With allowances, his new monthly package is 3.2m shillings or £280,800 a year, making him one of the highest paid heads of state in the world.

Kenyan MPs have become notorious in recent years for awarding themselves huge increases that bear little relation to the country's economic status.

"Ordinary people are very unhappy," said Macharia Gaitho, a columnist for the Nation newspaper. "When other public servants ask for pay rises they are always told that there is no money, yet the system allows MPs to set their own salaries."

Ministers argued in parliament that the proposal was necessary to "give the institution of the presidency the respect it deserves". Speaking to Reuters, a government spokesman, Alfred Mutua, said civil servants such as the head of the anti-corruption commission had been earning more than the head of state.

"We can't have a president who is paid less than some of the people he leads," he said. "It is in keeping with international standards and even the former retired president [Daniel arap Moi] earns more than the current one."

hey chinkiasu, glad to see you're fine. so lucky, get to travel everywhere. weh, elf wants to go too. weh. currently still sick. sian. medication puts me to sleep...

STE: did tell you guys resistance at 3.5. appears very stubborn tho. things shd heat up closer to XD date. if you can find a better counter tho *hint hint*, consider outing and going into that perhaps? not that STE has no upside, but it's the 2nd rule of selling for me: exit when you find another counter with better potential upside. of course, if you have hte cash, no harm just sitting in. must realise elf has limited resources, so my way of playing has to be dif from all you guys with fat wallets. *sigh*

where's giantlow, btw? hope he didn't get burnt too badly...i miss him. esp since he's the founder of this thread. meh.

Chinkiasu...

Wow... I see you had an interesting trip... :)... good.

Yes, about that "Africans are the happiest people''... comment,

...it is so shallow and unacceptable...

One should really say...

"Africans are the most miserable people on earth due to their poverty"...

hi folks, just got back from the bush, now in nice hotel in Nairobi.... so was out of email touch..

my dear auntie bunnie, yah loh, almost got eaten by lion...and butted by cape horn buffalo.. ke ke... feels good to be missed.. Smiley

seriously I was in Lake Bogoria.. saw and took lots of pics of the flamingoes..almost a sea of pink,  and on the shore up on a lonely branch.. a fish eagle..really majestic with piercing eye.. then I turn my camera back on the sea of flamigoes as I heard loud flutterings just in time to catch a wave of pink & black dashes as the flamingoes took flight, cos the fish eagle behind me had taken wings (flamigoes are staple diet for the eagles..) and I happily snapped away....then I saw a flock of pelicans huddled together...so as to look even bigger to the eagle; they did not take flight..... ...

well, Geojam & shplayer... looks like our SPC is moving... our turn to feel good.. and elf, I am still holding on to STE... pah si boh chao man....Darth Vader

btw, Eastonbay/Ipunter... you recalled I was commenting about someones post "in the thread how much money you need for retirement..."

conversely, one need not be poor to recognise the suffering and bondage of poverty?  I am personally sceptical Smiley when people who has never been to Africa, talks about Africa and start making sweeping statements like "The happiest people are those found in African villages"  How do they measure happiness? And what African village are they talking about...  I invite them to visit Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya and they shall open their eyes and see the truth.....

well I asked an elderly wise kenyan who owns a shamba (small farm of about three acres), in a village in Machakos, to comment on the statement about "the happiest people being found in African villages...."  he looked at me in the eye with display of facial disbelief that any one could make such a statement, Yodaand then said "it depends whether they have enough to eat", he then point out to the very thin (literaly skin & bones) cattle that passed us... "there is not enough rain, so there is not enough food, how can one be happy when he is hungry..."

Also...

Cats give you that unfriendly and evil look...

whereas dogs will follow your every move with their loving eyes... :)

I believe dogs are specially created genetically to be man's close companion, but not cats.

Qualify: no, i'm not trying to be like the helium guy. Just thot emails are so pervasive these days and therefore would you be crying in joy or crying in tears if your company says "no emails on Friday". I wonder if I might feel weird or get Thursday blues. It's probably worse if it is a No Internet Fridays!

Could You Handle No E-Mail Fridays?
(ABC News) On company has banned e-mail once a week to increase interaction and human contact among employees.

"Some [e-mails] are very valuable, and some of them are just an excuse not to communicate or to protect myself from something that's going on," said Jay Ellison, executive vice president at Chicago-based U.S. Cellular.

Two and a half years ago, Ellison was receiving an average of 200 e-mails a day, many of which went unopened. After getting cyber-indigestion, he sent out a memo to his 5,500 subordinates.

"I'm announcing a ban on e-mail every Friday," Ellison's memo read. "Get out to meet your teams face-to-face. Pick up the phone and give someone a call. ? I look forward to not hearing from any of you, but stop by as often as you like."

The no-e-mail-Friday idea landed with a thud.

hullo, just woke up from nap. groggy....medication...

yea. not all indicators work for all counters...esp be careful with the pennies. I know i'm holding some, but note that i only pick the pennies with strong fundamentals. o/w, without fundamentals, i wouldn't touch a penny no matter how good its TA is. since being cornered, day traders, momentum, etcetc will affect it a lot. And then there's macro-trends to consider as well. sometimes, macro-trends can just put all TA out of whack, so always gotta keep informed of global news.

yup, i do use MACD. depends entirely on counter tho. i go by stock first then i see which indicators it responds to. note i never just rely on one indicator. best of all for me is when they all coincide. it's that thing abt know yr tools but always distrust them.

keke. yongjiu is my kitten now. official elfin adoption, without rest of family. haha. 'cos there was some conversation abt him being a leo, but he was so amenable to being bullied (i was sharpening knives to slice him up and he offered his heart as dessert!!! Smiley), so i told him that he wasn't a lion, but a kitten. and he agreed. keke. so elf has a bunnie and a kitten now. the kitten is a little lonely tho, so we're on the lookout for company for him. any recommendations? *grin* i lelonged him yesterday. haha. see if you can find that post.  Smiley  i'm sure the kittie's not bad looking. any takers??? on sale!!

bwah ha.

and oh man, this emoticon is sick! Smiley

eastonbay....yah...i think i make more money when i'm on mc than when i'm at work. not a good thing....

elf, i really like the post on Posted: 12-Apr-2007 12:35 where u said use the right indicator for the right counters. well written!  Smiley
i am also starting to notice RSI overbrought do not mean the price will go down (sometimes all the indicators work except for RSI, so i do not dare to vest on it). And i also started to notice not all the indicators tell the story for some stock that I am confused. okie now at least clear some of my doubts.

do you use MACD?

no time to read much previous posts.. i was puzzled...why YJ is been called as kitten? i thought nick as kitten is normally associated with cute n petti girls, but YJ is a man??

feel like calling you shi-jie!  :oP
