Just to refresh my mind, copy from my prevous post 14 Jan.

Using chart from yahoo, because of wide prices over aperiod of 5 yrs, the prices i read is only approx.

The 1st wave started in Mar/Apr 03 at slightly below 50c, then ended at about $1 in Dec 04. The 3rd wave started in Jun05 at about 85c and ended at $1.85 in Apr06. the 4th wave fell to $1.30 in Jun06. So the 5th wave started in Jun 06. the 1st wave increase by 50c. The 3rd wave should increase by 1.618 of 50c, i.e. 81c, but it overshot to an increase of $1. Will the 5th wave increase by 1.618x81c, i.e. $1.30 i.e the target price of $2.60 ?  Looking at time frame, it seems that Wing Tai may reaches this target in Mar/Apr 07.

18 Jan posting

Looks like it will reach $2.60 sooner than Mar/Apr, may be just before CNY.

With Corporate Tax cut by at least 1%, the second increase may be 1.618 x$1 that will give a TP of $2.92

Totally agree with JJ's investing attitude. It's just useless expending energy agonising over what stocks you've missed and how they've run up. Much more productive to think seriously about whether it's worth entering at its current price.

colorado, you don't miss anything, dont worry, it's just matter of timing. It is too easy to look back. Can u imagine, Mr. L asked me to buy Yongnam , that time only 0.12, and CSC, that time only 0.16, and I ignore him, but look at the price now... if you said, missed out.. I think I miss out many as well... as well as, I sold my genting at 0.40! ha ha.. that's stocks.. up and down.. it's too easy to look back.. so, why not just set a target, and look forward!

Hi Jackjames,

Thanks for your recommendation.  Yes, still not seeing the light in the tunnel and getting quite upset with myself.  Missed too many opportunities already.

Are you saying to stay in the sideline and buy in only after CNY?  I missed out on Wing Tai, F & N, SMRT (wanted to buy in some more).

colorado, how are you? still snows over there? hee..

don't waste time on mutual funds, the gain is so pity, and yet 5% charges.. but then, you do not have to worry but just let the professional do the job.. I am preparing to withdrawn all the policy this year, so, charges is like 4%.

if u want, can invest in HLAsia, HGMetals, Luzhou, even some tech stocks later after chinese new  year.. they will be good this  year. I am quite confident though.

Hi Singaporegal,

Based on TA, can we still enter?  To be honest, I'm quite tired of checking and checking and missing opportunities.  Don't have the luxury of staring at the screen the whole day.  If this still don't work out, will just throw in the towel and concentrate on mutual funds...

Hi colorado,

I think the price action in the morning can be misleading. I will usually observe the price action after lunch to see how it goes. Prices will usually be more stable in the afternoon.

Hi tabbykat,

Wing Tai looks to be on another upwards spurt now. I will monitor this stock tommorow also.

Hmmm missed this at 2.15 5 days ago.

Just curious, Singaporegal, you mentioned in another thread that you only check in the afternoon instead of staring at the screen the whole day - a luxury for most people.  How do you decide what to buy or sell then?  The price can dip or spurt within the same day.  Won't you miss the action by the time you check in the afternoon?

Hi Singaporegal,

We bought almost at the same time. I bought it at 2.21 and sold it at 2.27 when signal is weak.

Will try to buy tomorrow when the vol is encouraging. What's your take.

Cheers
