Think carefully. How come so many stocks rally today. But BIG drop 15% ?

Better take care.. cheap can become cheaper.

Having said that, I really hope I am proven wrong tomorrow.

Please don't recommend a buy-back as this is disastrous to do so.  Look at all those who did buy backs..Everyone fell victim to the great shortists (Banks, institutions who borrowed shares from CDP or through their own nominee companies-plenty of stocks) of the stock market.

A few casualites of buying back their own shares companies:

Chuan Hup, Nobel Group, Yangzijiang, and many many others who do so.  They plainly fell into the traps. The prices always fall after buy backs. So don't don't buy back.  If the company is cash rich, just pay more money as dividends or exchange shares with sharesholders.  This way ok, surefire.

Honestly, and repeat, honestly..this is NOT a counter for normal jones and harry to play.  Can always get caught.

What I do is buy one sell two lots when I see the profit and then buy again to quit.

This morning bought 24 and sell 26 ct and let go extra.  Hope to buy when it is chearper and sell more when it goes up.

Don't stay with this share, danger lurks always.  Look at $1.10 now 25 cts only.  Luckily I buy and sell until I hold lesser now.

Talking to myself.

Hi, this stock is just dropping probably due to margin call.  This may not be the right time to buy, but is neither the right time to sell.

I am doing a bit of collecting.  Welcome people who wish to sell, so I can get a better bargain.

"Haha!"...is just a remark NOT that I'm happy or laughting. I' know what it's like to loose money, not to mention a lot. The fact is, i'm joining many others who either lost $ or on paper. But i'm still smiling to my friend, my family and strangers. I know people will read my post differently, that's why i apologise first. My purpose is just to get people's attention to many blue counters right now who's worth looking at. Basically, I feel this thread has got too much to read and sometimes confusing...i just couldn't understand the info fully. My view only.

I have lost alot and worse was on margin. But I blame NO ONE. So Farmer, why do you laugh?

Its sad you are happy that we are all losing money. Looks like you didn't and I am glad that at least there is some amongst us who are lucky.

Haha! This is my first time into this thread...maybe the last too. Just wanna highlight that there's nothing to see in this type of stock right now(sorry, if u're vested). Even good blue chip counters who's still profitable can come down >50% in value under a year, what's left to an unprofitable one? My view is only look back when the next bull is back and hopefully, this one still around and well. No offend, just my view.

TA charts show volumes (~ 1 million a day) that are not unusual. 1 million is pretty healthy but if there is BB interest, this value would be much higher. This probably means that there is currently low institutional interest in this counter.

The selling seems to be done by retail investors wanting to get out in this crisis.

I forget to add that royalty revenue from Terumo next FY will be huge. This is because NOBORI will get Japan market approval next year. Im sure BIG can survive thru this global financial crisis.

I think we have to differentiate BIG with the S-shares. I believe a lot of S-share companies here cook their books. How can some china companies report very strong earnings and not able to meet short term debt obligations? Becareful of china companies that raised even more cash after their IPO. Because they need to raise more money, they have a tendency to cook their books to churn out a beautiful set of accounting figures even after IPO. Watch out for those high debt level china companies or those that has been raising money from capital markets. Their PE is low single digit for a reason. After they raised the money, the money will be "milked" out to their bosses own pocket. How to trust a chinaman with hundreds of millions of cash?

First, we ask ourself is BIG in debt? Zero (except convertible loan stock). Does BIG has cash? Yes and should be in the region of US$70 to 80m now. Is BIG able to survive thru? Severe cost cutting even to the extend of moving into a cheaper rent office in Singapore, closing down high operating cost in Netherlands and New Port. All the costly clinical trials are over and BIG is using "licensing" to expand globally. Licensing means zero cost outlay and receipt of multi-millions initial, milestone payments. Plus, there will still be contributions from China JWMS and Biomatrix sales will increase by leaps with the backing of LEADERS results. As Biomatrix gets more paper clearance to sell in Europe countries and also China approval later this year, i don't see any reason BIG is not able to survive over the next few years independently even if there is a prolonged recession.

I believe BIG should be in the mist of discussing various DES major players for USA licensing deal for both Biomatrix and Biomatrix-Freedom DES or strategic equity stake in BIG. I look at these as indirect way of soliciting for M&A offers. Why i posted Abbott's Xience market leader position by end 2008 in my previous post is about MNC making strategic M&A to achieve their goal. M&A for BIG is definitely still on the cards.

.....<<One promising new device Abbott is developing is a bioabsorable stent. It has the drug and coating, but the stent itself is made of polylactic acid. (this is using BIG's technology!!!)

The potential advantage is that over a period of time the stent dissolves and is absorbed by the body, Freyman says, so there is no bare-metal stent left behind.

Abbott is the only company with a bioabsorbable stent in clinical trials, according to Freyman.

But Abbott's biggest growth driver is Humira, says Biegelsen.

The blockbuster drug targets autoimmune disorders. The drug, which is injected, has FDA approval to treat a number of diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and plaque psoriasis.

Humira, which is approved in 76 countries, is Abbott's biggest seller and the largest product in the company's history. Abbott forecasts Humira sales of more than $4.3 billion this year, up from $3.1 billion last year.

Biegelsen estimates that Humira's sales will jump to $8.3 billion by 2012.

"Humira has very good clinical data and is rapidly gaining share globally," Freyman said. "It should be a very high-growth product for us for many years to come."

But Abbott doesn't want for fast growers. Abbott is a very broad-based health care company with a number of growth drivers, Freyman says.

Over the past few years, Chief Executive Miles White has made a number of strategic buys that have propelled gains and brought on major products.

Humira came to Abbott through the 2001 acquisition of Knoll Pharmaceuticals.

And the 2006 purchase of the vascular and endovascular businesses of the former Guidant Corp. delivered Xience.

Also in 2006, Abbott bought Kos Pharmaceuticals, which boosted Abbott's cholesterol franchise.
>>

Without these strategic acquisitions, ABT will never be what they are today.

Let us wait for TCT 2008 next week to see some more positive clinical results from BIG and group of licensees. The O.C.T. scan and 12 month LEADERS data will be of most interest to me. Im sure the fellow DES players will also be looking at this data. Just imagine an older generation DES technology from BIG is now the global DES best seller. The MNC that wants to be the next DES leader has an option to achieve it quickly ....... buying over BIG's proven top class DES technology. Biodegradable polymer and totally polymerless DES will be the future.

Boston Scientific's New Heart Stent Wins U.S. FDA Approval
2008-10-10 15:18:29.830 GMT

By Alex Nussbaum
Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Boston Scientific Corp. won U.S.
clearance to market Taxus Liberte, a new drug-coated stent in an
increasingly crowded market for the devices.
The Food and Drug Administration approved Liberte, a mesh
sleeve used to prop open diseased arteries, Boston Scientific
said in a statement today on PR Newswire. The stent's sale had
been blocked by a January 2006 warning letter from the agency for
manufacturing violations. The Natick, Massachusetts-based company
said on Sept. 25 that two other stents held up by the letter had
been approved.

If u look at BIG's business model, it is nothing like those of say Ferrochina. Licensing was the right way to go as it doesn't cost much. The operational consolidation which they did prior to the financial storm will save them quite a bit. Dun panic. They are nowhere near FC's dire status.

Global index cannot spiral down like an endless pit. It will stop somewhere and I suspect soon. Bros' dun worry and have a nice weekend.
