Hi Alligator, That sounds like a lot of money. Oh dear, foolish me. Throwing money away like that. But now that I have dumped all the paperworks, I don't know how many of the rights I am entitled to. Plus I am still clueless as to what I am suppose to do and I guess I am a bit short of time! :-(

Alligator      ( Date: 09-Jul-2009 13:54) Posted:

If you ignore the free nil-paid rights, that means you are throwing away your money . for every 1000 share, you have 170 rights at around says 14cents,or some 24 dollars per lot. Perhaps that is not too important to you. This one is 17 for 100, share dilution is not too much

if you had shares that are issuing 3 rights for 1 share, like Fraser Comm, if you ignore that, your holding will be diluted by a number that is a surprise to you.

By the way you can sell your nil-paid rights for money, tomorrow is last day...

These Rights and Nil Rights thingy sound so confusing to a newbie. That's why although I have the GAR shares, I ignored the Rights thing completely. I also bought them when the prices are at their peak. Still holding onto them and hoping that the price will come back up again.

Hi niuyear,

I m just an average trader, there are more true gems in this forum, I shall resume my sharing once I can sense tat the waters here are no longer infested with pests n no sharks lurking around.

Making losses is part n parcel of trading as in war.

Nah, why should I laugh at your foolishness when I was once also very foolish, fortunately, tats history now.

My advice to newbies is "There is no shortcut to trading",  u need to learn the tools of the trade.

My sincere n genuine advice to newbies, is "Learn how to fish n u can fend for  yourself forever", relying on others for fish (tips, rumours, etc) n u are always dependent on others and at their mercy.

Master TA n u are the master of your trades (but of course, TA is not infallible, thus need to set stop-loss).

U can read my sharing, advices to newbies, recommended good TA books, "Free Tutorial on TA" webvsites  in the forum by clicking on my name n also remember by heart my 3 mantras.

In fact, thers is a posting this morning on Free TA on youtube, do a search for it n listen to it too

Richtan,

Glad that this free forum has someone like yourself.  I have never doubted your sincerity. 'The writing reflects the writer'.

Its too late for me to reverse my loss (china sport) though its not much (cut loss with 2 bits with only few lots).  You may laugh at my foolishness but, just dont know why, knowing this target price might not come true, but, still went ahead with the buy?  I cant explain too!  LOL .  The TA is still a must-have if continues to trade.

Thank you once again for taking your time to reply.

I am abit shock actually......you are the 4th or 5th asking about the rights thing......

The rights is given free (NIL PAID)....and tomorrow is the last day to sell away if you are not interested to pick up the new mother shares.

After tomorrow, you cannot sell in the open market loh......you will have up to 16 July to exercise the rights share by paying up 18cts per share to GoldenAgri...

Are you sure you have the rights share ?  If yes, you should have received a copy of the right share transaction form....

May I suggest you sell away your rights share as you are thinking of sell the mother share (E5H) too ?

It is now trading at about 15cts ......tomorrow is the last day to transact.....

On a personal note....I hope you are heading to a Government Restructured Hospital......Cheaper, and can do first talk money later.....

I brought goldenagri at $0.43 and now its $0.30

I am losing sleep everyday...... first time i brought share and got burned. Will it rise to $0.40 soon ? As i need to sell away my share this week to pay for my operation.

Golden Agri you pay what you buy on the screen. Golden Agri R, you have to pay another 0.18 cents to convert to shares, but it comes with 2 warrants for every 5 rights you buy. Golden Agr R and R170 expires 10 July 5pm, ie tomorrow is the last day for trading.

what diff golden agri vs golden agri R. Buy which one better ? when is golden agri R expire and how to convert to mother share? Still a bit blur , any expert can clarify...thx.

If you buy from public (GA R170 or R), they are just rights you are paying. You need to pay another 0.18 to convert to shares. Whereas the rights given to you at 0.18 comes free, therefore you only need to pay 0.18 cents for which will be converted into shares automatically when you have paid up via ATM or complete the form given to you and send it to CDP with Cashier's Order.

Got it?

hi, I am pretty much confused with Goldenagri.

The rights is $0.18 but buying it from public is 0.145 ?

Can someone post a TA regarding goldenagri ? I do not know much about TA but wished someone could enlightment me.

Trading based on tips and rumours is a dangerous game, playing with fire, u may be lucky this time but not everytime.

I m a strong advocator of doing your own research (FA and TA) and sharing by posting to exchange pointers, FA being the 1st essential step followed by TA to time the entry, whether or not to enter the trade, but of course TA is not infallible, thus the need to set stop-loss, rathet than relying on tips n rumours

So far, most useful 'tip' Newtothis has mentioned in one of his message that , 'Goldn Agr's BBs going to exit this stock' which  has stopped me from buying when this stock hit 0.36 or something like that.  I was lucky that i didnt buy this stock.

For this, i think i must thank him for the timely info, though, at the point in time, i didnt know what game is going but, i did follow that message and saved me from loosing money.  :)

p/s - i do not know him in person, the above is just my fair statement.  Tks

I beg to differ, analysts are registered and qualified personnel employed by broking houses and risk their rice bowls and they know their credentials are at stake.

Unless those forumers tat make buy/sell calss uncategorically state their real names and tat they are analysts from whichever brokering hse, they dare to make thier stand and answerable for their calls, but of course, they are humans too, so dun expert all their calls to be correct but then they will be monitored for the % of right/wrong calls and they dun make brazen calls w/o justification.
