hi every body, especially geojam and eastonbay... just got back home! (very long flight) wao so many posts...

first geojam, I am still your friend... I think you qualify to be Song jiang because to me he is the hero in Water Margin... charismatic (i just noted that your god daughter elf thinks the same of you too), & transparent (Leo)he attracts most of the other heros up Liangshan, he is a man with principles, and true to himself. yes as pointed out by Baseerahmad, he is a man with vision, who doesnt want his ppl to remain as bandits, but rather be patriots that serve the country, although in the end he did miscalculate in that he & his merry men were manipulated & betrayed (again what's new about Jabbas anyway) by the Imperial court who only cared for themselves and not really the country. I can go on and on but... Geojam, I know you dont like long post so I stop here....

and Victorian, I accept your next bet but lets be specific (e.g what exactly is heading south ?) not like the current bet where the goal post has shifted somewhat... ke ke..

I have all the money and paper work done to send money over to spore but now awaiting vic response to my posting.Hope he can convince me SGX is the place to invest my blood ,sweat and tears money.

you see, what's actually happening is a difference in trading styles due to a difference in personalities. just look at your responses to each other. *highly amused*

but elf is first and foremost a rationalist, esp when it comes to the market. To me, make is make, i don't care how, be it TA, FA, some mumbo-jumbo zen thing, or whatever.

so haha, nevermind SPC. As long as both of you are making in your own ways, really. as i've been saying all along *wise look*, method doesn't matter. whose opinion is right doesn't matter. What matters is the dollars you count in your hands. So let's get out there and make some BIG dollars. yea? ;)

What then are the sunrise stocks to buy in SGX.Please do not tell me SMB and EDMI again.Some new ones.

Honestly i am on the verge,today infact,of remitting  sizeable funds to spore to buy shares in SGX.Luckily i 'bump' into u.

If only penny stocks can give me good returms in SGX,then my money stays in australia.

basserahmed, as with other great literature works like Dream of Red Mansion, Journey to the West, Romance of Three Kingdom and this one. Each reader interprets it differently from another reader.  SongJiang's intention had been debated over and over again. People continue to debate till the cows come home  (oops cannot find cow, use elephant instead), and there will be no verdicts because the author was dead centuries ago .

I still think that was his excuse to lead normal life. If that was case, why did they became Robinhood of the East from the start? Deep down, he was very feng1jian4 (old fashioned, conservative? can't find the exact english word), and wanted/enticed to revert to being honourable people i.e. one with official post.

But no worries. I will not force you to accept my view as yours. I accept that your understanding as stated.  See, we can discuss literature even on a share portal! Hooray.

 

EastonBay : its my understanding that Song Jiang had a nobel intention to convert the bad image they had as outlaws and lead life as honourable people , to let their heirs be " the clean people " and not  be branded as heirs of outlaws forever .....he was thinking of the future and the next generation ....

eastonbay,yeah,i have a happy go lucky attittude.Even when i was heavily in debt with margin loan and my house on the line,my wife could not even detect that i am under stress.She tot everything is normal.

song jiang is the gang leader... however, he wasn't a good leader. Till the very end,, he comtemplated surrendering to the Song government so as to secure an official post. I think he more or less contributed to the demise of this gang of bandits (so to speak). So geojam, think you are nothing like him. Except perhaps your easy personality; reasons why you were able to adopt GDs on the net. (meant to be a compliment, don't interpret in any other way)

"Water Margin" may be relevant to portray the different types of market players, but I am not familiar with that story.


I am more familiar with  "Journey To The West" (Xi You Ji) which can readily be adapted to portray the dangers inherent in the stock market with its abundant surprises and traps in the quest to make a killing in the market.
