DJ MARKET TALK: STX OSV May Rise On US$216M Vessel Orders
0016 GMT [Dow Jones] STX OSV (MS7.SG) may gain as shipbuilder secures NOK1.3 billion (US$216 million) worth of contracts to build 4 platform supply vessels for repeat customer Farstad Shipping; 2 ships will be built in Norway, 2 in Vietnam. Vessels scheduled for delivery in 2012-2013, add to company's US$1.8 billion orders secured this year prior to latest announcement. News affirms recent sector-wide pick-up in orders for new ships, should help restore some interest in stock, down daily since listing last Friday, although still holding above S$0.79 IPO price. Shares end down 0.6% at S$0.795 Tuesday, not expected to test S$0.88 intraday high set on debut. (frankie.ho@dowjones.com)
