Hmmm.........ekekeg, it seems that u are right.

Anyway, this counter is extremely  volatile and pls trade with care. History has proven that this stock is not that good and don't pin too much hope for it.

Ok, then the TA observation is this: the line chart of BIG is on the upward bias trading near the higher side of a very narrow bollinger bands width.  The technicians believe that both high and low bands will increase in width soon after this situation, and this action will herald either a downward or upward spike in the stock price. Usually at this point of time, the stock will make a reversal meaning change of its main direction say 20 or 50 day period. The main direction of BIG was downwards, so the reversal will mean upward move.  That is why, it might spike upward soon.. However, my interpretation may be different from other chart readers because, I am long. Honest.

There are marketmakers who play with this counter previously. Whenever there is a release of good news, this counter will spike up on huge volume for distribution before plunging down again slowly for accumulation. Subsequently, this will go on and on. If you see the chart of this counter, you will see a lot of peaks and troughs.

There were some amount of accummulation last two weeks.  Don't know whether enough collected by some bigtimers or not.  If enough already, they will lift the prices at least 5 cents higher.  But because the market suddenly "cheong" as a whole, these big timers might be busy either covering shorts or buying to play safe.  BIG should cheong a day or two, if not today. Just monitor it.

There is a possibility of a upside gap owing to pent up demand after a long lull.  Just watch out.

Agree with Cashier Tan on the technicals - last Friday's closing is still a 'small doji ' - a neutral sign, and a closing above 0.29/0.295, with vol, would still maintain the short term upward momentum.

However, I don't think their fundamentals are as bad as what people are thinking.

It currently has approx US$65m in cash, and its only debt is the US$45m bonds that are due in Nov 2009. According to the CEO, Biosensors is in constant contact with the bondholders and in his own words ' the bondholders are very, very, very bullish' on Biosensors' prospects (see video conf on Q209).

Also, according to the CFO, they have a number of 'options' on thier table, presumably to raise cash (if they want to). I think from the question posed by Kelly Chia during the video conf - it looks like there is a possibility of a 'partnership' with another company to exploit their patented technology ( on the drug, bio-degradable polymer), to do a deal in the US mkt.

After all, if they can just get US$40m from Terumo for licensing fee for the European mkt for the next 5 yrs. any deal for the US mkt will be worth much more.

Just a conjecture on my part. Not a call to buy/sell.

Should spike a few cents this coming weeks.  Bollinger bands too narrow and should begin to open broader. If no bad news to drive downwards, it should break above 30 cents and then gradually move higher.  But the move will be slow and lesser chance for big contra gains. Therefore I think you must pick up shares if you buy, that means this share is only for investment. Also too risky for shorting.

Short term technical - so far so good - Biosensors has cleaerd the 0.275, with reasonable volume.

Today's closing resembles a small doji cross - which may mean a top or 'a continuation pattern'.

Tomorrow will be the day of reckoning - it must cross the next resistance of 0.30 or today's high of 0.29, in order to maintain  the current bullish momentum.

Also noted is that the stock is trading above its 20-days mva and the 5,10,20 mvas are squeezed together quite nicely, while the 50-day mva is just above at 0.295.

Personal observation. Not a call to buy/sell.

I agree. in my earlier post, it is noted that J n J is still acquiring companies even at us $1.08b. Never say never even for BIG.  Most of us have already bought BIG shares  at such high prices. I suppose we have to wait it out.Looks like there is at least steady support at .25 to .265 for the time being

Big businesses unsurprisingly will think big.  The natural route for DES industry leaders (names not to mention better) is to buy a controlling interest if not total takeover of companies.. like BIG. Highly possible and highly in quick action.  Just a little wait.  Big boss needs to shrug off the current global situation.

Don't pin too much hope on this stock.

Takeover is possible but highly unlikely

i won't sell at $0.34, that's my breakeven price, probably at $0.69 ?

Selling out at $0.34 will make you regret for a long time.  Wait for above $1.00 and recoup everything with a revenge!! Great patience needed.

i can wait patiently for 0.34 to come, it's not a dream, it can be achieved easily with biosensor wild pattern, heeee..
