Singapore Hot Stocks- STX OSV up on brokerage "outperform" call

SINGAPORE, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Shares of Singapore-listed Norwegian shipbuilder STX OSV rose as much as 3.5 percent on Tuesday after CIMB Research started coverage of the firm with an "outperform" rating, traders said. At 0139 GMT, STX OSV shares were traded at S$1.19 with over 5 million shares changing hands.

CIMB, which has a target price of S$1.60 for STX OSV, said it expects the firm's earnings to grow at an average of 34 percent a year over the next three years, helped by a recovery in the offshore supply vessel sector. "With better capabilities, stronger earnings growth and visibility, and a quality order book, we place STX OSV in a league above the rest of the local offshore supply vessel builders," said CIMB in a report.

SINGAPORE, Jan 10 (Reuters) - DMG & Partners has initiated coverage of Singapore-listed Norwegian offshore vessel builder STX OSV with a "buy" rating and a target price of S$1.56.

DMG & Partners said STX OSV is well-poised to capture the returning demand for high-end platform supply vessels and offshore subsea and construction vessels given its better technology.

"High oil prices are driving new orders for high end offshore support vessels," said DMG in a report.

The brokerage expects STX OSV to secure 12 billion Norwegian crowns and 15 billion Norwegian crowns worth of new order wins in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

At 0239 GMT, shares of STX OSV were down 0.83 percent at S$1.19, and have risen 47 percent since it listed in November.

Into year 2011, tis going tobe worth another dollar stock or more, then come another reward for investors.
