Good news on Bio-Treat, they got a 455 RMB unsecured loan facility. The stock has faced overhangs because of concerns about funding issues. I've talked about this in the past. Now that an equity or equity-linked funding source is unlikely the stock should get a lift.
Momentum among water treatment companies has been with the HK/China listed shares. But as Morgan Stanley points out in their report yesterday, the group now trades at 20X 09 PER and is no longer attractive on a valuation basis. The exception to this is good old Bio-Treat which trades at 9.7X PER , fwd P/B of 1.6X and fwd ROE of 25%. The overhang is from convertible bonds I think which are at rich valuations and will be sold into stock strength. I believe a focus on QDII flow targets and S-Shares will be supportive for Bio-Treat and continue to like the stock here.
Mgt problem not fully over...just like hengxin..that's why no interest in such stocks..Merrl Lynch recomend sell since price hit 82cts....
Yup... cheonged to $1.03 with high volume on 1 June..then thereafter kept falling and falling till now (0.86)... 
What's happening to this counter? It seems to be heading downwards consistently.
Notwithstanding weak overseas markets, Bio-Treat shares may see outperformance after bieng initiated at overweight at HSBC with a price target of 1.18.

But there is still other method like e-pure and sinomem, I heard one stock house is still quoting sell for this counter ! Anything suggestion, should continue to hold or take profit, I am not following the water industry since Hyflux crashed ? Good Luck and have a nice day.
I believe it will wake up, on 6/6/07 in midday there were following trxn. It will have to move up past 0.93. Hope I am right.

Today's newspapers showed a picture of Algae contaminated water in China.
It must be shocking to us that so 'dirty' water can be drunk at all...
but yet it happening!
Yeah, this was once a darling in 2004... Not too bad tho, got quite a bit of coffee $$ since it was listed. Am still vesting, and hope this time around she will fly even higher. ;o)

I would assume that some of the selling today was profit taking by CB holders. These guys don't necessarily have strong fundamental views on the stock but are just reacting to the price move. If that's the case, then once the market clears those sellers and the net buying continues we can see some price increases. I actually bought some more shares on the intraday pullback.
I heard the company is on an Asia/Europe roadshow with UBS. It's probable that we are seeing fresh institutional/hedge fund buying after meetings with management. Perhaps someone got a little over-zealous with their order this morning but I would expect this is genuine interest based on positive take-aways from those meetings.
Looked at the A/D, CO and Williams indicators, they showed sign of negativity. Funny, its price soared rocket high today??? Wonder if it's genuine seller or juz shortists in action!!
i think there is this "water problem" in certain part of china that bottled water is being "utilised" now.. maybe that y the surge lor..
