Another rumour turned out to be true.

Chinese solar energy group Perfect Field Investment said it would take over Rowsley in a deal worth $2.7 billion to fund its expansion as demand for renewable energy products grows. The company will produce solar modules, solar cells and panels.

"We expect substantial growth in the solar cell industry in the coming years. This growth will be driven by accelerating global demand for renewable energy," Rowsley CEO Koh Kim Huat said in a statement.

"A listing on the Singapore Exchange will enable us to tap the capital markets to fund the expansion of our production capacity," said Ma Xin, the founder of Perfect Field.

As part of the deal, Rowsley will issue 18 billion new shares at $0.15 per share to Totalpro Group and Ma, representing 92% of the company's enlarged share capital.

Totalpro Group is owned by Ma, a Chinese scientist who is chairman of Perfect Field Group.

Ma founded the business in 2000, which is based in Jilin province and which provides solar technology to homes, businesses and industry. The group has a team of 50 scientists and owns patents for solar products and production processes.

Rowsley's share price has risen more than fourfold in the past month, closing at $0.315 on Wednesday.

In the financial year to Mar 31, Perfect Field made a pretax profit of 23.4 million yuan on sales of 28 million yuan.

Perfect Field said it has provided a net profit guarantee of not less than $300 million for each of the financial years ending June 30, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

This represents a forecast PER of about 9x based on the purchase price, the companies said.

Solar energy has good potential. Looks like Rowsley still has more upside.

Isn't it Rowsley's good support is now at 29 cents ?

 

Similar to Eagle, never short a stock when it is entering a Super Bull mode.

 

Doesn't means that it is high, it will not be higher.

 

At most, it will probably take a short breather before it start conquering new heights.

May be it's time to use some profits from Rowsley and re-invest into Eagle ? 

 

Relatively, Rowsley huge climb has now made it's bro Eagle looks cheap.

 

Eagle is now a big laggard.  So it's fair that it make a decent catch-up.

 

And hope Eagle can head towards the 20 cents level, to least close up the gap.

 

Here come Rowsley again. Being quiet in the morning now trying to help it bro, Eagle push up. Noticed Rowsley had been the top volume for past 3 days and look like no stopping for it.

Talks have been rife lately of a RTO that would transform the company into an oil & gas concern. A new rumour suggested that it would soon be in the business of renewable energy - solar energy, said a dealer.

 

rowsley could be another lottvision-any comments.

Rowsley have a 24.64% stake in Eagles Brand and 23.18% stake in UPP which are bove listed on SGX-Mainboard. Rowsley also engaged in Lottery business in Mongolia. FY2006 should be out soon!
