China is no longer a communist country. Hence yuan should not be called a communist dollar.
But who know maybe the future holds 3 major currencies instead US$, yuan and Euro.

The Yuan will never replace the USD in at least the next 100 years ! It could be included in the "G8" currencies but it will not replace the USD. This is a myth that academics like to play with our minds. USD has gone through tried and tested financial crisis and you simply do not throw out the baby with the dirty water. A weak dollar does not mean it is invalid. A communist dollar ruling the world??? I think all text books will have to be re-written !

With the US and Western economies failing, attention is now more likely refocussed on China and the Eastern economies.  Though the US and western govts are putting up measures to fill the economic holes, shore up the collapsing walls of giant corporations, Chinese and Eastern economies are steadily growing and overshawdoing the once powerful economic nations of the world.  In the next decade or so, the yuan will probably take over the dollar as the main foreign exchange currency in business and trade.  What happens to the DOW at Wallstreet will no longer be a great concern to global stocks.  It will be how Chinese stock indices perform that will be the main interests of investors.  The important thing is when it is going to be like that? Any thoughts?

In today's papers (back page of ST Home), there's a report of Buffet buying up a big time railway system,  said his father didn't buy him a toy train when he was young.

It is interesting to see whether his old investment ideas are still applicable in this age, or not. Smiley

Oh dun worry. From here on, its a separate story for both DJIA and STI. From here, STI should rally in its final wave towards 2950 region. Whereas US indices should retreat. So you still have some meaty gains if the STI final wave is not a truncated one. Have fun ! Smiley

This morning when I checked the Dow result, I was disppointed...

On first flash, I thought it cheonged 300+ pts, (which will not surprise me a wee)...

But too bad, it tanked (from the day's height to a wimpy +30pts!)

The nett effect thus, is not a gain, but a fall, don't blame it on 'voliatility'...

Thus, no meaty trades again I suppose... hehehe.. Smiley

Well, as discussed, DJTA did not confirm DJIA's rise. Already twice in a row but in reverse sequence. If DJIA does not do another cover-up act towards 10 000 tonight or this week, then sayonara and welcome the next Boss of all Waves ! Smiley

From reuters' news in the past 2 days received, mostly estimated 85% of news are positive news. Just to share some of the positive news are the higher than expected earnings for General Motors posted its first mthly sales increase in nearly 2 years, Ford and Toyota reported sales increase, Hyundai posted 49% sales increase, Nissan reported a gain of nearly 6%. Dupont reported positve news, likewise Buffet buying all shares in the Railway and is putting his bet on US economy and it was the biggest acquisition ever by Buffet. If the Fed decides to keep the stimulus for extended period, it will likely to lead to higher stock prices. Bearing any unforeseen circumstances, it appears that the overall trend is upwards. USA economy is showing 3.5% growth in 3rd quarter 2009. China and India are showing strong growth.  Korea and Australia are showing exceptional resilience. Might have some corrections along the way, so that the Big Boys will make some delta profits along the way. Overall, if stability maintains, it is to everybody's benefits that the stock prices increase. Generally, the economy growth will lead to higher stock prices. Good luck and best wishes to all investors out there....
