SPC is quite well supported at 4.56

assuming that lot size above 10 belongs to the big boys

there are 3 big boys trade at 4.56

49, 50, 10

Singaporegal, I know you have been pessimistic the past few entries on SPC.

But given the healthy volume and the high possibility of ending above $4.50 today, could this be the firm sign of reversal? At least uptrend till XD days at least

regarding your question, if SPC hits 4.60 at expiry. each warrant would be worth 2.5cents. so 100 lots of warrant would be 100,000 X 2.5cents lah.

mine warrant strike price at 4.50.

Almost all singapore warrants are european style and cash settlement. Meaning, u CAN NEVER exercise the warrant. At the expiry of the warrant. If the share is above the strike price, they pay u CASH! If not, the warrants expires worthless. U also cannot choose to cash out early cos its European Style. (American Style allows u to do so, but i have not seen any of that yet)

geojam,

Thats the condition of the warrant...I am assuming its the DB warrant. There is another on expiring on the same day, I think ML warrant....exercise price 4.80...also 1:4 ratio.......If its the latter, then I think its more difficult for giantlow to break even.

As long as one plays small,  (just like nickyng)

one will enjoy it very much even if one wets the pants a bit in the process.

Well done!

billec,

giantlow's warrant expires on 5 Mar 07. Exercise price 4.50. Ratio 1 share: 4 Warrant.

So, if you have 100lots warrants, you can convert to 25 lots SPC at $4.50...i.e cough up $112.5K. This way, you will be in time for xd on 27 Apr....you will collect $8750 in divvy.

giantlow,

Just checked conditions of your warrant, if you exercise it, you need SPC to be 4.70 to break even. But, in my opinion, if SPC 4.60, better to exercise on 5 Mar...this way you hedge 50/50...and can collect divvy of 35cts.....works out to be 8.75 cts per warrant...you will be in the black.
