Have been wondering to myself as I read this thread why are some of us getting sick so often?  Some of us say it's the weather, others say stress in the office lor!  May be true.  But let's put things in the right perspective.  I really think it's something to do with our own body system.  To be more specific it's our body immune system that has weakened thus allowing foreign bodies to enter our body and make us sick.

Nothing to do with the weather, unless of course, if it's the infamous Indonesian haze we're talking about.  Office air-con system dirty lor.  Possible.  But if our own body immune system is strong, hey doesn't bother me!  Google 'lacto-ferrine' and the answer may be staring at us in the face.  Sorry folks not vested in the shares of this company!  Just concerned about how some folks get sick, recover, then fall ill again.  Wa like rollercoaster ride!  Keke  Weak body immune system must be.

geojam,

Been sick, still is......blame it on the weather. It has been raining for the past weeks, and these few days, it's hot and humid!  Global warming .....

Regarding Babcock and Brown, hard to verbally pronounced, i must say, has a Structured Finance Fund listed in SGX.  However, the Alinta takeover is not done yet cos of MacQuarie, ya?

i suppose the BBs can watch and scheme their manipulations and I guess they can do a raid maybe once on the short term players but I guess they have better work to do than trying to 'tekan' (press) the SJ forummers . besides, their behind the scene manoeuvres, if i guess correctly , will show up in the indicators (ad , co, bu/sd) perhaps elf and other experts will alert us by then .....hahaha .

u are right , this is very interesting like Agatha Christie novels ... to me its exciting like Frederick Forsyth novel ( the day of the jackal ,odessa files, dogs of war, etc..) .....hahaha....

ok ....enough of speculations .... whichever direction the wind blows , the bottom line is : make money from the market ....all the rest is just for entertainment ......hahaha .

btw i guess the popularity of SJ is  enhanced by elfinchilde, victorian, singaporegals and a few others postings... maybe the Admin should consider some reward  for thier contributions ..hahaha.

Asterisk : btw.... just a thought ..about ur career move ......" no wonder top notch analysts in banks and financial instituions get paid millions of dollars! " ..hmmmmmmm .... just wondering ......! hahaha .

slimsk, sorry to barge in re: eastern europe tour.

My Suggestion:since you are visiting Prague, I recommend Terazzin. It's a smaller scale Auschwitz. The setup, even the "Arbeit Mach Frei" wall is the same as Auschwitz. Included in the exhibits were drawings of Jewish kids, their belongings etc etc, just like Auschwitz. Terazzine is only 1-2 hour bus ride from Prague city centre and there are daily day tour from Prague, so no problem with transport. It is a sad sad place, to listen to what the tour guide has to say what the Jews went through during the darkest moment of WWII. I had plans to visit Auschwitz, but cancelled it after Terrazin. 2 reasons: 1) it will be more or less the same, except at a 'grander' scale. 2) I don't need more 'grim'. It's grim enough.

really need to go zzzz. night.

j3r0m32  Thanks, I'll have to get someone look into that and help me to disable the cookies. When you mentioned cookies, I was wondering if you meant the rewl baked cookies. He, he , just kidding.

Hi bun bun,

No worries, i had been very busy as well n no time to look at the forum. Glad u still remembered my question when i saw your post today.

Yes, i'm going to eastern europe this sep. Havent bought my plane tickets as well. Will start my planning after my Beijing trip in 2 weeks time. I need a break! At the moment confirmed places to visit are Vienna, Prague and Budapest. I'll need to read up to find out where else to go for a 2 weeks trip. May go to a German city (Berlin or Munich) cos my sis is learning German and perhaps also Slovenia which 1 of my friends strongly recommended. Maybe Auschwitz but wondering if it's too grim. Do u have any good recommendations?

By the way, anyone knows if Chengde is near Beijing? My colleague told me u can do a day trip for Chengde whereas my sis said it takes about 6 hrs by train to reach there. Can anyone confirm who is right and whether it's worth a visit if the travelling takes such a long time.

Thanks!
