Dear bros and sis,

Don't try to flog a dead horse.

The market has just gone through a correction.

There are plenty of healthy horses around at a bargain price.

switch to other counters - many hv fallen by the same % but fundamentally stronger than CMilk. Latter is facing liquidity problem for sure. No.1, ALL bond holders want to cash out. Why? They probably may know something we don't. No2., to repay $170m (USD not CYuan) in 1 go is near impossible. Which org hv $170m lying idling? The cash in books at a particular date is a moving figure & may hv been drawn down since then for other purposes - eg., Sino Env, China FibreChem.

Anyone use technical analysis for stock investment? This stock is below EMA200 and the formation of cup has failed! To me. I feel there is no way this stock will rebound in near future. Sell half of my position and monitor.... If it tumble again... Sell ALL...  :( at great loss because was not able to escape on the day it pludged 17%... :(

u cant use charts and theory to analyse this stock in such situation:) millionaire or billionaire, thats the difference and this is the gateway to it. fundamentally this counter is strong. now the tainted milk product was clarified that this babe was not involve, next is for the "person" to collect enuff before u hear news on repayment on their convertible bonds.

May I know why it is not good since August 2009? From chart or it's fundamental?

Anyone know how to get the latest information about China Milk credit repayment?

Thank you very much..

Extra this Lim and Tan Security Report.

The stock plunged 21% yesterday on the back of a
report from the South China Morning Post citing
it as one of the China companies (the rest are
China Sun, Celestial Nutrifood, and Sino
Environment) being unable to pay their
convertible bonders.
􀁺 We would like to highlight that unlike the other
companies who are unable to meet their convertible
bondholder’s redemption requirement due to
insufficient funds in the company, China Milk had
on 5 Jan 2010 said that the company is still currently
awaiting clearance from the State Adm of Foreign
Exchange for the remittance out of China of
US$170.56mln (being for the full settlement of the
early redemption at the option of the bondholders
which includes interest).
􀁺 Management believes that the delay is administrative
and procedural in nature and there is no legal
obstacle to the remittance of the money.
􀁺 As at 2Q ended Sept ’09, the company had cash
holdings of close to US$300mln (ie after repayment
to their bondholders, they will still have cash of
US$129mln).

However, fundamentally, the company was
negatively impacted by the delayed impact from the
melamine scandal early last year as farmers scaled
back bull semen and embryo purchases due to
reduced demand for locally produced milk in
preference for overseas milk. This resulted in both
sales and profits for 2Q ended Sept ’09 to be down
a significant 75-80% yoy and management expects
the continued negative impact to linger on for a
while longer (business visibility remains low),
especially with the recent renewed melamine fiasco
in China.
􀁺 Little wonder that the stock is currently at depressed
levels, trading at 0.5x price to book and 20%
premium to its net cash holdings. While the stock
could potentially see a bounce if the Chinese
authorities give them clearance to remit their cash
out to repay their bondholders, a more sustainable
rebound will only materialize when the recently
renewed melamine fiasco blows-over in China,
paving the way for local farmers to again buy bull
semens and cow embryos, the company’s key profit
drivers.

well this life in stock investment, bound to have up and down. risktaker is kind enuff to share with us wif his insights, no one can guarantee which stock will surely go up in near term, else all of us wld be overnite billionaire.   I believe our bro risktaker also has suffered from this brunt, we shld take it up and move on.  Like some people here, we are still holding on to this milky cow, at least now we now they are not one of the 3 co involved in the tainted milk issue.  Next clearance will be their ability to repay the convertible bond issue.  Once cleared, based on their historical px and current low, it will reinstate its position. Cheers!

Those idots (fruadulent merchants) who involved in tainted milk will be sent to Level 8 of Hell, i.e. Chamber of mountain of knives where they are made to shed blood by climbing the mountain of knives.   Cruel it may sound, but , they deserve it.   Believe in Hell , then dont commit any sinful act...

ChinaMilk had been a mistake trade for me.

Fundamentally it is weak. I brought this based purely on technically analysis.

A little rumors here and there proves too much to it to take. Plus yesterday's market decline.

Made this stock fall right into bottom.

Currently, sentiment is weak and may stay weak for a while.

For now, cannot buy this stock.

Lesson Learned: Weak Fundamental Stocks Cannot Withstand Negative Rumors.

By the time it get suspended like ferro, sino-env, it will all be too late. I think its way too risky to trade in this counter now.
