We might expect some price movement for this 2Q reporting, but don't be disapointed if it is none.
what we should wait is other stories that might come after !
In trading stock, always take longer view & have enough holding power.
This guy is building good base at 25/26, the longer it build here, the more powerful it will charge up! Much like the same at 12/13, 20/21, it took 6 months and 2 months to build up! Cheers

yes, so 2Q is coming real soon, should be around Aug right if not mistaken...

i am looking forward to that, hopefully i can get some good news of it.

i wish at least i can see some movement, it been days it hanging at .025 /.026.

i think it can go more than that.

If this coming 2Q brought news of an over $2 million net profit, going to 5 cents will be a  natural move.  Buy early, is the catch word.

Many pennys turn around by liquidation of asset or playing with accounting, this guy has business model that is sustainable for growth!
Expect to hv better result for 2Q.

Just a correction. Actually HLH made a net profit of about S$1.2  million in the first qtr of 2012, an improvement of more than 40% qoq over that of 2011 when it made $800 thousand in net profits.

Yes, before restructuring, it made a profit but I can't recall how much unless I check up on the old announcement at SGX website. Think the profit was nothing into the millions, it was not much but at least showed that the company has moved forward. I did buy around 2 cents and 2.2 (if you check my previous postings).  Sold one third at 2.8 cents and will be keeping the rest for future capital growth.

I have confidence in HLH.

Honestly speaking, the share market, esp the Singapore one, is structured to make you lose money.  Imagine the amount of commission and brokerage fees you are paying come to a few percent of the transaction almost near to 2 cents for most dollar over counter for you to make a reasonable coffee money.  But if you lose, you lose heavy.

In penny stocks, you stand a better chance of winning as the quantity traded is usually higher  thus making your gains more.

So that is why I still like to play the penny stocks.

i dont recommend shorting this counter. the price din move much.

to long? I wont long too becos it under-perform most of the counters in term of dynamic.

to be investor i.e. super long, probably yes but with QE3 coming = inflation, unless this counter move alot otherwise try to play other more dynamic counters like M1, Ramba etc.

There are two things you could do. Buy more to average if you believe that HLH has a bright future.  Sell your shares with some extra selling of shares you don't hold  (short through borrowing) if you don't believe the shares will go up again, and then buy back at a lower price to book some gains or to recover losses.

If you have plenty of cash or holding power, I think this HLH is worth holding for a bit longer.  The company is trading at a fair value, or nearer to its Nett assets.  Because recently it returned to the black (made money), there is always hope for further profitability by company.  Should the results come in better, the price will move above 4 to 5 cents.  For going to 8 cents, it must report very amazing huge profits. On a cautious note, should the company returns to loss making, then the share price might go back below 1.5 cents.

do you mean the market is not stable currently?

Oldbird      ( Date: 28-Jul-2012 17:28) Posted:

Current situation is rotational penny playing market . Playing blue chips or cyclical stocks which tie to economy are not advisable ! Too slow...though safe.

Being penny they r generally rotten!
But they can be moved by news or rumours about turn around, new venture, taken over, restructuring and etc.... It dosn't quite care to outside influences like european crisis, economic data(s).....

In betting, if any one tell me he has tips or formulas n he can make moneys thru' horse, football, 4d or casino, i will say he is a big Nut. Also if some one tell me he can make thru contra, or high leverage margin account, i will say he is also a Nut!
In stocks market, to take long term view n to pay in full will increase the chances n reduce the cost. Buy blue chips when market crash!

If one has lost money after making one mistake,

does it make any sense to enter into another potential mistake?

With stocks, averaging down is essentially creating another mistake

before the first mistake is even rectified. Never average down,

because one does not, and can not, know what the trend is...  Smiley
