Hi could any of you tell me why unifiber does not move.may be veiws by  you all,could give an understanding as too why this counter is stuck.

 

not to pour cold water.... i also think this is good that's why i bought alot few months ago... but just don't understand why this counter didn't seem to be moving even when market was super hot. also certain broking firms still classified this stock as "controlled stock" which need to pay up the next day instead of T + 3 (believe if the amt is more than $50k). still keep few hundred lots and certainly hope that it can go back to above $0.3 very soon.

 

Today move up abit , up 1 cts and done @0.225cts.

 

at price $0.22 ... i think the high is $0.60 ???  i heard their wood chips sold 90% to china ..  and they are growing their plantations bigger...

this type of business, how not to earn ?? ... people using paper everyday.....

I think this is old news brother chiags, remember reading this before.

 

Profit up 300% @ U$3.35m,  will keep UniFiber for while but will sell some if next Q report unfavour...

 

When the oil prices are down, unfiber prices are down and when oil prices up unifiber could move up. does it work like that?????????

 

unifiber looks to be a counter for long term.movement up  is very slow when general market peaks, and movement down is reasonably fast when market dips.Trees take a long time to grow,so i guess the same applies with unifiber.We Got to keep fingers crossed a hope for the best.

 

Thanks 888max. I was chasing the dragon when it went up above S$0.30. Now just gotta sit and wait and hope for the best. Dow up 40 pts yesterday. Fed announcement on Sept 18. With all the central banks pouringin the money to ensure liquidity, and with Fed cutting 0.5 percentage points for the interest rates for loans, with all the strong regional economies, I guess the typhon will blow over soon.

I also vested alots in this Unifiber. Total value 60k.

Today it did went up 1 cts in the morning but came falling down again.

I'm looking for news surround PT KK  takeover .

Next is the much needed funds from CMEC of US$865 millions for their new pulps mill.

Just hold one and wait out.

Very strange counter. Hard to understand. STI index up nearly 200 points and this counter does not even move one teeny weeny bit. All the fundamentals are there unless I read them wrongly. 888max, care to share your thoughts. I am heavily vested in this counter. Appreciate any inputs regarding this counter. Don't know whether it will even move if the Fed cut rates. STI 200 points up and yet this counter not even S$0.05 up. 

 

no move at all with unifiber.lousy counter.

 

Just read from CNA forum , US Fed is going to cut rate in advance.

Dunno how true iszit ??? 

Hope STI market will rebound on Monday.

My averg price for UFS is @0.285cts.

After 3 bad weeks of selldown, price still holding strong above 0.20cts level.

Last done @0.215cts, so only lost 7cts , consider very lucky liao.

I know some investors lost 50-70% of their investment and a few lost 100% of their capitals funds from this recent melt down.

Now it nothing to do with the bad earnings or fundamental of the any particular counter, it the *&^$ US subprime credit crunch. By it their own domestic problem,  now blown out to become a gobal problem for us.

 

 

Hi 888max, i am actually ok with this counter as i sold some with profit earlier. i'm down with others which some lost as much as 50%. i'm alright lah, even i made $, i also won't buy BMW645, is too flashy for me. i just hope that the current situation won't not spread further (which may affect property market), my other investment all afected, my KLSE stocks are hit even more. as usual, console myself that this is all on paper.

Don't worry , there many ppls that are even worse off.

New Car  can always buy later.

If wait till next year , new BMW645 model will come out!

Unifiber didn't do that bad today.

Manage to recover from super low @0.195cts and crawl right back UP @)0.215cts.

Wonder Stark and Abax got anything to do with today support buying ????

 

it took me one year to accummulate my wealth.... and i lost it in a month...... there goes my dream car ... BMW645. need to start all over again

Don't worry !!

What go down must bounce back one day.

Unifiber is NOT the only victim of this subprime problem.

So for those keep criticizing UFS and posted negative comments without any lead facts.

 Let be rational and ask yourself  this question :

" Did your own counters also affected by recent selldown or you're totally  unscarred by this event

? "

Don't get me wrong !

All blue chip stocks are  good. In facts , it is so good that all blue chip  prices are selling at such a  premium price than compare to penny stocks. Personally, I don't believe in buying a fair company at a wonderful price.


 

 

 

 

i've been thru this many times and yet not once i can get out, told myself to cut as i still have some of my profits (i'm still sitting on profit for some counters like nippecraft, genting etc). DJ future down another 124 pts now, my broker told me there is force selling everyday, tomorrow will be worse... feel very sad for all which include myself.
