I hear from rumor a lot of people lose big money in RWS during Aug-Sept.... The results should beat expectation of 380Million.....
Maybe Zhou Yu will change the direction later.

Relax guys. Genting's still have fundamentals. London casino was not factored in the 3Q results. So 4Q should be good.
Without the London casino factoring in, they still make commendable quantitative profit comparable or better than other stocks that have announced 30+ % profits.
Tomorrow's Strait Times may give you some happy news.

GENTING Singapore continues to lead the field in what is shaping up to a two-horse race in Singapore's booming gaming market.
The Asian gaming giant announced on Thursday that Resorts
World Sentosa (RWS) generated $732 million in revenue and pre-tax
profits of $346.5 million for the third quarter of this year.
On Thursday, it also announced a slew of plans to make the
Universal Studios Singapore a top attraction, as it seeks to boost
capacity from 8,000 to 18,000.
Although falling short of its performance last quarter, when
the integrated resort's (IR) cash tills rang up $860.8 million in
revenue to produce pre-tax profits of $503.5 million, RWS still managed
to edge ahead of arch rival Marina Bay Sands (MBS).
Last month, MBS owner Las Vegas Sands said the IR pulled in
revenues of $631 million, making a pre-tax profit of $315 million for
the period ended Sept 30 - its first full quarter of operations since
opening in April.
But, MBS enjoyed a higher profit margin of 49.7 per cent,
compared to RWS' 47 per cent over the same period, even though RWS had a
headstart after opening in phases from January. |

I agree. But their roar does seem quite powerful. So many shorters. Hopefully its just the opening period. Cos normally BBs will come in later.
rationale is bears are trying to scare ppl by roaring ... they are spreading fear throughout the site, they are shorting the market on fears that they create ... unbelievable ... make profit ppl still shout short .... as if the BBs will short this counter ... it's the investment companys and hedge funds that make the call
Fundamentals strong and continuing making money. But still short? What's the rationale behind shorting?

Average amount each visitor spends pre day at USS is $81, not counting the daddies and mummies spending at the casino, family staying at its hotel.
And until their govt act, Malaysians as far as Penang are taking free coach services to RWS (and MBS) -- M'sain news.

the finding is as follow:
Total net cash flow increase from 3.420 b (Q2 10) to 3.529 b (Q3 10) = + 2.9 %
Non Current Liabilities also dropped from 4.46 B (Q2 10) to 3.93 B ( Q3 10) = -11.88 %
Q3 result gives relatively realistic view of Genting financial situation? as RWS is up and competiting with Genting...
with the substainable revenue and increasing cash flow...Genting can definitely able to pay back its debts soon
Positive factors:
Q4 holidays (golden weeks-Rich china men & officials, X mas, new eve)
Do u know how many company D&D , family days were hold in RWS? big banks...

3Q Results shows Genting SP income is sustainable and is set to perform better than initially anticipated even with MBS in full operation.
with 2nd Phase due to complete and open on 2011 and 2012, Maritime Xperience Museum and the Marine Lift Park, SPA and Hotel will bring in more guests and Genting SP will definitely surpass that of MBS.
Worth vested for long.
Q2 EBITDA was S$503.5M from a revenue of S$860.8M. Q3 revenue was S$731.8M.
