Singaporegal, I just turned to the St E thread. You keep to your maggie mee and fried eggs. You have to keep us informed. Your knowledge is more important than cooking and baking. Thanks to your help and advice. I feel safe.

Hi choohian,

Hahaha... yeah... I'm very lucky indeed.  :)

I didn't know you're so senior. I figured you were in your 30-40s!

Singaporegal, You are very lucky because in Singapore there are all kinds of food you can choose. There is no need to learn to cook or bake like our time when the ma-out-law, sis-out-law and the other outlaws who expect the "new comer" ( new married in-law) to chip in and slave in the kitchen. Those were the days. They have gone, but new problems surface. Sorry, I shouldn't grumble or complain because I managed to learn to cook and bake for my own good. It's good to be able to do certain things for oneself at least. I do sound like an old granny, but that's what I am.  SORRY!.

baseerahmed, I can assure you that in my recipe there is no need to "cheat" with almond essence. The flavour of butter, if you like butter, is important in this cookie. Anyway, fairygal should be able to produce good cookies for you. Enjoy!

baseerahmed,

Woh! You sure know how to bake as well since you mentioned about the missing almond essence. Not many guys will even know the basic ingredients in baking besides flour and egg and sugar.
